I am extremely low income and csnnot afford the $3.99 delivery fee.. i had sirgery and am in a wherlchair permsnengly with no transportation. With multople chron I c condiyions, i csnnpt get my medicine because Safeway refuses to make an excrption. Rude people . Disabled people on medicaid/meficare should be able to have their mefications. This qualifies as a state pharmscy board complaint.

We’ve come here several times for a new prescription and the tech couldn’t process it because he didn’t know how to update the insurance information… he didn’t tell us that the first time, it took multiple attempts and wasted hours until he asked the pharmacist for help. This is not the first time this has happened here and it always ends in treatment delays. Also, understaffed, waiting in line for 40 minutes. Will not be sending scripts to this business any longer.

I always go shopping here and all workers are so kind and if they see I didn’t scan something they nicely tell me. But today an Employee named Vanessa made a big deal when I forgot to scan my watermelon, I admit i didn’t scan it but didn’t realize at the moment. But Vanessa had already noticed but instead of saying ma’am you didn’t scan the watermelon, she went to get a co-worker and both of them started staring at me and mom without saying anything. Vanessa waited and said something when my mom and I had already started walking making it seem like we stealing and trying to embarrass us in front of other shoppers. She could have approached the situation differently and could have said something when my mom and I were close to the registers rather than waiting for us to start heading out and yell. I work customer service too and I wouldn’t make other people feel uncomfortable, like every human sometimes I have a lot in my head and don’t realize when I miss something and a friendly reminder could help.
I’m giving 5 stars even though because employees lack of professionalism shouldn’t reflect on a whole company.

Bizarre and first time denied a prescription I have been refilling for years with Safeway Pharmacy. Deanna S. from this Safeway repeated she was uncomfortable to refill my prescription (exact same prescription and exact same pharmacy). She said she was uncomfortable to personally fill, but would be happy to transfer me to ANOTHER Safeway, which, if something seemed fishy, sinister, dangerous, wouldn’t this be flagged in the Safeway system? Or why would it be passed off?
My prescription is from my current doctor I saw in person when I lived in New York City pre 2020. I established a great repoire with him, and wanted to see him monthly virtually (as everyone did once 2020 hit), and continue to meet with him virtually or phone after moving from New York. She told me she googled him and said he was an “online doctor” , which I’m sure and clear he DOES provide telehealth calls to connect with patients (standard again since 2020), but I was only seeing him in person when I lived in New York. He is a great match and knows my history well, so I wanted to continue to work with him.
I found this odd, or almost suspicious if Safeway company has been for years filling this same thing, and even this pharmacy but she herself wasn’t comfortable - not sure if she has been flagged before or if she has to be extra cautious for some reason.
I would be happy to provide a photo, funny enough, my previous prescription filled BY THEM has my Brooklyn NY address on it.
Deanna S. - hope you feel you’re serving and protecting! You had the time to “google”, but not look at the address on file of my prescription.

I have used this pharmacy for a very long time. I recently moved away but my parents still live near by. I have kept this pharmacy as my primary one. I have had help figuring out a solution for my meds before traveling and they are always helpful when I call with a question. This is not an easy job and I appreciate the help and efficiency.
