This review is for only pharmacy. The lady pharmacist, if you don't like your job then please don't do it. Learn to talk to customer and people around you.

I was harassed for no reason. I shop at the Juanita safeway 2 to 3 times a week. Today the checkout girl was hovering over me. She was pulling items out of my bags saying I didn't ring them up. I said show me what I didn't ring up and she said you bought two of this item and I showed her that the screen showed 2. She just kept on with each item I rung up even though she was standing a foot away watching. I paid for every item and she just kept hounding me. It was so rude and embarrassing as the store was packed. I finally asked for a manager and when she came over, she said what am I supposed to do about it. I was like okay. Guess it's time to find a new place to shop. I spent 200 and was harassed the entire time. Unacceptable

My uncle and I decided to do a late night grocery run to get things for a birthday party for the next day, which included some spiked beverages but my uncle was declined by the night crew because I wasn't of age? But I wasn't the person purchasing these items. Keep in mind I'm not even 16 and my uncle is in his mid 20's. Real professionals here...

Very bad grocery store. Not properly managed. The worst of any Safeway that I have ever shopped at. Their employees at this location are lazy. They condone abuse of customers and they force you to do their work whilst they sit on chairs and scroll through their cellphones and ignore. Other Safeways have deemed the Juanita location "Oh they're the worst" so it is well-known internally.

This review is specifically for grocery pick up. I placed a grocery order last night to be picked up this morning. The pick up time was between 8am-8pm. At 6:45 this morning I received an email that my order was ready and to come get it..the Safeway app said the same thing and gave me the option to let the store know I was on my way. I thought awesome, its done early. Pulled into the pick up spot at 7:20 and checked in through the app. At 7:30 the app notified me that my order had been picked up. I didn't grab it and no one brought it out so I went into the store to see what was going on. The woman working store pick up barely looked up when I told her I didnt pick up my order even though it says I did. All she said was we dont start pick up until 8. I tried to explain that their app and emails sent by them told me the order was ready and to come. Again she couldnt be bothered and was just super condescending and uncaring, kept telling me they dont do pick up until 8. I tried explaining again that I wouldnt just show up demanding my order and that they told me to come. At that point she started tossing my stuff in bags and told me she’ll let me have them then, but for the future its no earlier than 8. She followed me out to my car, with another employee (who was trying to smooth things over. He was really nice) tossed my stuff in my trunk and walked off. Maybe fix your system and don't tell people their orders are ready if they aren't. Dont show orders picked up when they arent because that causes confusion. And listening goes a long way! She really couldnt care less about what I was saying. It was nuts

This review is about the pharmacy only.If negative numbers were available they’d get a -10.This pharmacy sets a new bar for confusion, disarray and just bad customer service.Safeway management doesn’t seem to care either. Complaints get blown off so nothing changes.Go somewhere else unless you like waiting in line looking for attitude.

the man at self checkout was extremely rude and made me and my friend feel extremely uncomfortable. echoing a recent review, it is not washington law to have to ID the people with you when purchasing alcohol. worst of all, this guy was flipping my card over, examining it, acting super unprofessional and doesn’t even attempt to scan my ID. making me feel as if my very valid ID was fake or something. never have had this issue at this location before and i’m super disappointed & dissatisfied. i’m well over 21 mind you, so is my friend. since she didn’t have her purse, she offers to pull up a pic of her ID since i’m the one who drove and she didn’t bring her things. he cuts her off and says that won’t work & that he point blank doesn’t have to give us the alcohol??? like i get it you take your job very seriously, but what’s with all the attitude and personally acting out over a bottle of wine??? he had broken glasses, white, 5’10 max

Prepare to be blown away by mediocrity at best! If I could rate a zero I would, strictly for the pharmacy.

My husband and I recently visited Safeway to purchase a bottle of wine together. While my husband was completing the checkout process and having his ID checked by an employee, I stood with him at the self-checkout area. To our surprise, the employee insisted on checking my ID as well. Unfortunately, I didn't have my ID with me at that moment. Despite explaining that I have an alcohol allergy and would not be consuming the wine, both the employee and the manager refused to sell it to us, assuming I might still consume it.When we questioned Manager Hoang about the alcohol ID check policy, she asserted that it was a legal requirement for all parties involved in the purchase of alcohol to present ID. However, upon further investigation, we found that Washington law does not mandate such a requirement. To highlight the inconsistency, we asked whether a mother with her 2-year-old child could buy alcohol, and the manager confirmed that she could because it was obvious she wouldn't share the drink with the child. If that's the case, I will raise some concerns regarding possible age-related discrimination or assumptions about customer behavior. Finally, I will suggest Safeway to follow all alcohol buyers home to ensure they are NOT sharing the purchased alcohol with others.

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that my husband and I recently experienced at Safeway. We went to purchase a few items, including some airplane shots. The cashier asked for our IDs - which is normal procedure, but what followed was extremely upsetting and seemed rooted in discrimination.Even though only my husband was making the purchase, the cashier insisted on seeing both our IDs. Despite the inconvenience, I complied and retrieved my ID from the car. While my husband was holding the items to purchase, the cashier and the manager, who were present during my brief absence, both wrongly accused my husband's Washington State Enhanced ID of being fake. This ID requires proof of U.S. citizenship to obtain, highlighting the extent of their baseless claim. Even after I returned and presented my ID, the scrutiny continued with an unnecessary, humiliating, suspicious examination of our IDs. The cashier claimed WA State stopped producing Enchanced IDs in 2010, when in reality they are STILL in production. My husband’s ID was issued in 2017, and is due to be renewed in Feb 2024. Mine is NOT an Enhanced ID, which a simple Google search can show you the difference. The manager and cashier’s decision, which seemed influenced more by bias rather than factual discrepancies, made the situation incredibly frustrating and reeked of discrimination. Their conduct and the unjustified accusation were both offensive and unprofessional. The whole experience left us feeling frustrated and targeted. The discriminatory treatment and baseless accusations were uncalled for. It's disheartening to encounter such prejudice in a place where we expected fair and respectful treatment. This experience was a blatant reminder of the prejudices that unfortunately still persist in everyday scenarios. I urge the store to address this incident with the seriousness it warrants, ensuring that such discriminatory conduct is not repeated in the future, and that customers are treated with the utmost respect and fairness.

The very worst Safeway in Kirkland and quite frankly the absolute worst Safeway in all of Washington State. They are unprofessional at the Juanita Safeway and other store managers have told me that they all know Juanita Safeway is the worst of them
