Elle and Lizzie were so incredibly helpful. I was kind of a fish out of Water looking for blonde hair products for damage, cause I’ve recently gotten a lot of blonde put in and ELLE took the time to show me her favorites and explore a couple other options and the one that she recommended, I must say has absolutely changed my life and my hair with fighting it and bringing it back to life thank you so much. Lizzie was so sweet helped me find perfumes for the whole family for Christmas and they are both just incredibly knowledgeable. They definitely know all things beauty and all things kindness. Thank you so much Ulta Kirkland for such an amazing staff. It’s always a pleasure to go to this location💕💕💕

I am specifically writing in regards to the hair salon. Marlena is an absolute gem and an artist who absolutely loves what she does. She went above and beyond to get the exact hair color match for extensions. It was not an easy task. She is extremely skilled, creative, and so kind. Thank you Marlena!

I prefer getting a handful of beauty supplies from Ulta over other merchants. However, associates never ever ask me if I need any assistance while shopping. The sanitary stations with alcohol and tissues are always depleated of supplies. Worst of all when I quickly grab products and purchase them, I realize they've been used. Please stock the alcohol spray and tissues and keep an eye on the open products.

Have come here for years for arctic fox and scents. Will likely not be coming back. When asked if I’m finding things alright I gave the usual reply; “yeah, thanks”
Employee immediately turned the corner of the isle and laughed. As in, within 10 seconds of my reply. Super rude.

I purchased some conditioner last month, didn't end up using it, and went into the store to return it. According to the Ulta website, returns made from 31-60 days of the original purchase date are eligible for a merchandise credit. However, they said it had been too long and refused to accept the return.

I asked a simple question about a product and the employee that was helping me, walked away from me to grab their cell phone at the register and then took a picture of the product, pulled up chatGPT to answer my question. It did not give them the correct answer, at which point I gave up, said thank you, and guessed. The interaction was pleasant but using AI to answer customer service inquiries is ridiculous and unacceptable.

I recommend Marlaina as a hair stylist if you have curly hair! (I have 2c-3a curls) She understood my hair, and cut it at the exact length I wanted as well as diffused and finger curled my hair. She's also very nice and fun to talk to, thank you Marlaina!

10/10 if you go to the totem lake ulta, make sure to ask Aasha for help. She was so sweet and helpful. Also super knowledgeable about the products and guided us to the best selections for us that we are still enjoying so much!

I generally don't leave negative reviews anywhere but I wouldn't recommend this location. The staff are quite condescending and rude. I have never had this type of customer service at any of the Ulta stores around here. I definitely will not shop at this location anymore. I'd rather drive out to get better service.

If you have a gift card don't go to this store. The associate that helped us, tried to get the pin and ended up wiping some numbers off the pin on our card. She handed us off to another associate as their time was ending, who also tried to guess the few missing numbers and we all could not. She called the manager who tried to guess the numbers too but then had to call the customer care. She said I would get an e gift card to my email but completely ignored that I had products left to be purchased on the counter and just walked away. Except for the 2nd associate who seemed friendly and willing to help, I saw no friendliness from others. Mistakes happen, but it's how you fix the mistakes that shows the character of a company. We are not going back to this store.

Extremely Disappointed with My Hair Color at Ulta Beauty
As a busy mom of two, I took time out to get my hair professionally colored at Ulta Beauty after a consultation three weeks prior. I had clearly shown the stylist video references and explained I wanted a rich chocolate brown with blended highlights. Though she seemed unsure, she said it could be done.
The appointment lasted 4.5 hours, and the result was very disappointing. My mid-length to ends were still my natural black, and the crown had harsh, brassy highlights that looked completely unblended. When I questioned it, she said it would look better once dry, but it didn’t. She recolored it, but the result was still poor—and I was charged $257.
I returned the next day for a correction. The first manager I dealt with was quite rude and dismissive without even acknowledging my concern. While another manager was more professional, I felt forced to let the same stylist recolor my hair because I had upcoming events and couldn’t wait for another appointment. She applied dark color, and now my hair is back to square one.
I basically paid nearly $300 to get back my natural hair color. This experience left me feeling disappointed, stressed, and unheard. I expected much better from a brand like Ulta.
