I went in yesterday to have a power of attorney document notarized. Turns out the form was a little hard to understand, the not only did the branch manager (I believe his name was Christopher) go out of his way to help us download a new form, complete it (and two other versions), notarized it, copied it and then gave us some folders to keep several versions of the document straight. THEN gave us a map where we were going to help us find another branch up north. I swear this whole thing took at least a half hour. He was so patient through the whole thing and they didn't charge us when they easily could have. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and it has been a long time since I have seen such caring service. Thank you for making a really awful period in our lives easier.

Although I give props to the customer services folks at the front desk in Kirkland (at the Safeway branch), as well as the customer service people on the phone, I'm not happy with corporate and their decision to not allow customers to pay for revolving credit online. I purchased a fireplace from a local retailer recently and wanted to finance it; however, I learned this evening that AlaskaUSA Credit Union does NOT allow its customers to pay this online. RIDICULOUS!! It's 2014 people. Wake up! You will lose customers this way. Your web site is not user friendly, and from the reviews regarding your app, that seems to be a miserable failure as well. Rather than having to risk any exhorbitant interest rate fiascos impacting my credit due to you not making online payments available, I'm going to find a way to pay this off sooner rather than later in order to avoid the hassle of dealing with AlaskaUSA. There is another local credit union that has a great reputation here. I'll continue to use their services going forward and will close this account once I pay for this item. What a sham!

This credit union/bank is located in the Kingsgate Safeway. It is a great alternative to the big banks who don't really care about the little guy (even though they want you to think otherwise). The employees here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have banked at many other places, but the smaller credit union format is by far the best. Its nice to patronize a place that remembers your name. They have everything you need in a bank.
