“I have loved this place since childhood—it's one of the most magical, peaceful, grounding places in the Pacific Northwest (/the world). The air feels different here. So much to explore, be it the grounds, the doves, bunnies, sheep, emu, the greenhouses, allllllllllll the plants, treasures in Primrose, and beyond. Whether it's a leisurely weekend stroll after an incredible brunch (*cough* Martini Brunch *cough*), or a visit for one of their many delightful seasonal offerings (sunday markets, pumpkin festivals, holiday open houses, summer vintage markets, and beyond), Christianson's is one-of-a-kind.”
“Good deals, good prices, nice selection. Staff was really friendly and all proceeds go towards helping with cat adoptions and rescuing cats off the street. They have a really lovely cat sanctuary about a mile away from the thrift store.”
“Profesional friendly and fair prices. Always enjoy shopping there . I have bought some awesome items there and would highly recommend just save some good stuff for me lol”
“This is rare gem. Not many places like this left in the US and unfortunately it may too shut their doors for good - not due to a lack of business but that the building for this place needs $3.5M to restore as structural issues plague it from age (building and business have been around for 111 years) as well as negligence from previous and current owners (currently owned by the Port of Anacortes).
This place is like a maritime antique shop yet also has so many various parts and rare hardware. This place is one tourists go to. This is one that makes Anacortes unique. We are trying what we can to save it but it might be too little too late.
Either way, if you get a chance to visit this place before it closes its doors for good I highly recommend doing so. I have rarely found such a marine type store, uet with all their plethora of hardware and other items this is a true one of its kind and potentially last to stand.
I love this place, the feeling, and the smell. Experience this place before it is too late - potentially October or November of this year (2024).
I've included one of the rare such items that I had to grab before I no longer could.”
“This is my first visit to Anacortes, and I have only been here two days…but this place belongs here. Loved the cat, and all the eclectic offerings. Bought a few things for my home, and left smiling until I saw the notice on the door that the landlord does not agree with my thoughts on this establishment. Sigh…what replaces it will not be anywhere near as interesting.”
“The owners are super nice and have curated a wonderful collection of goods. They have a really nice pool of tools to pick from and plenty other treasures to browse. Well worth your time and was the highlight of my la Conner trip.”
