I had a few bad experiences while staying here…One the first room I was given was a handicap room with an extremely strong Oder of pet urine….They even had several air fresheners in the room to try & disguise the smell…The carpets were damp & smelled like mold ..I did ask for another room but they said none were available…My room was also on the first floor, outside my window was the smoking/ bbq area very loud & uncomfortable. The second visit the room was much nicer but the hotel caught on fire in the middle of the night ?I finally had to call my job & ask to be relocated from this property ?Also it’s located on a busy loud highway…

The young lady at the front desk during the day was a sweetheart. She was so easy to work with and very accommodating.

The rooms are pretty nice, quality of house keeping definitely varies from great to ok I guess. the rooms are pretty spacious some more than others.. nice full size fridge and 2 burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, dishes and cookware all help make it feel a bit more like home. Laundry is free...The WiFi is good enough most of the time but definitely not a selling point for long term guests. I can play warzone but not happily. For some reason I can't use Hulu or Disney+ but that may be a me problem.. Netflix, Plex, Amazon video and Paramount+ all seem to work well enough.Complaints: floors are very thin!!! Or people are just ignorant to the amount of noise they make. Probably a combination of both. There is absolutely no breakfast offered but there is some terrible free coffee. The dyers are terrible only 2 of the 4 are working and it takes 2 full cycles to dry your cloths but it's free so not that bad.Overall I would probably stay again.. there are certainly worse places

Had a great stay. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. They gym was simple but nice, with new equipment. They had a sweet little convenience store downstairs with an honor system. They also had free washer dryers! Altogether very charming stay.

I have stayed here many nights and enjoy the stay each time. The front desk staff, especially Alicia & the overnight gentleman (I'm not sure what his name is ?) have been incredibly helpful with me and patient with my crazy pupperoos and General Manager Susana has gone out of her way to help me out as well. Everyone has always been so pleasant and I appreciate their staff training and policies because they do a great job.The rooms are pretty standard, nothing too flashy or 'modern' but they are clean, quiet, and get the job done. The rooms were renovated in 2017 so it doesn't feel old, just redone with safe, non offensive style and decor. Lots of beige and brown. The full size fridge, dishwasher, and 2 burners are fantastic for longer stays. No oven, just heads up. They do have a Candlewood "pantry" where you can check out additional kitchen appliances like toaster, beater (i think?), etc., if you find you're in need of anything you don't have already in the room. They also have a store area with non perishables, snacks, drinks, travel toiletries, etc. available should you find yourself in need there as well. There is a cute little path back behind trees and bushes for dogs to walk along. Its kind of like they are in the woods. Its a nice place for them to be off of the parking lot and gives them lots of area to sniff and everything. There are bunnies all over at night so lots of good smellins for the pups. I appreciate the offering for the dogs. I find it a thoughtful touch. The one drawback that I feel i need to mention, because it is a pretty noticeable issue, while no fault of Candlewood's, there is a large homeless community in and around the area. As I mentioned, I have my dogs with me and they are energetic little crazies so I walk them a couple times a day to de-energize their little butts and there is just a tremendous amount of trash all over the area as a result of the little camps that pop up for a day or a week or so. They don't stay long but the areas aren't cleaned up. Candlewood doesn't have a bunch, people do leave remnants over night that weren't there the day before on the dog path. And i honestly wouldn't mention it either, except my boyfriend's honda was broken into twice and i had a broken window from a break in in Tacoma and someone busted through the covering on the window and opened my door. So just be careful if you have an old Honda or already broken window, don't park in the back. I hate to mention it as i don't want to cause undue alarm, it's just something I would want to know from the start so I feel obligated to share. However, I would not be deterred from staying because of it. It's not much better anywhere else! Like I mentioned, I was staying in a nice building on Dock street and had my vehicle broken into in the building garage at 7 pm. Nowhere is perfect, but the price there is right!Rooms: Safe, brown & beige decor. Nothing fancy, pretty basic/standard but clean, quiet, and privacy is respected. In room kitchenettes are great. I would recommend a toaster oven for a long stay but that's really it.Nearby activities: Everything i searched for was within a mile or two. Restaurants, department stores, grocery stores, drug stores, anything, I found it very close. There are a couple parks nearby as well. But just be careful of the trash seemingly everywhere around the area.Safety: There is a noticeable homeless population, tents can be seen all over if you look just past any tree line. They are closed down within a week or so it seems but trash is not cleaned up. And homeless are not inherent safety risks, that's not what i mean. I just think you should be aware when conditions differ so greatly from what you would expect, and my old man and i experienced 3 vehicle break ins between the 2 of us so there's reason to keep your wits about you if you're walking around the area.Walkability: While tons of stuff is within a mile or 2, I would not call it walkabl

Super friendly and helpful staff, great value for the money. We appreciated having a full fridge, stove and dishwasher. I have a lot of food allergies so I'm never sure if I can eat out or not. Having a kitchen is very helpful. The staff has been great in every Interaction and quick to address any needs. There's a great little shop at the bottom in case you need something (think coffee, laundry soap, etc). Only comment would be that our room is facing the freeway and a little loud, but not so loud it's affected our sleep so I can't complain too much. Would definitely stay again.

I've been to about 20 different hotels this year and my car has only been broke into at this location and the Sumner location. After the first time I put a alarm on it. This time they didn't care about the alarm it was going off the whole time they were in it. they were in it long enough to turn ignition on and try to disable the alarm. I Know they are not responsible for my car but I know I'll probably not stay at another candlewood last time it costed me $100 this time over $1000. By the way this is the only 2 times my car has ever been broke into on any of my vehicles I don't feel safe at candlewood suites

Just returned from a one week stay at this property and I have only good things to report. Very clean and comfortable room, excellent friendly staff, a clean grill area and just about anything you would need to feel safe and be comfortable for a week away from home. I need to visit the Olympia area a few times a year and this will be my #1 choice. Also very reasonable rate in this post Covid time... of course there are more expensive luxury properties, which are also wonderful if your budget allows, but for a week or two stay, you can't beat this property. I definitely got more than my money's worth.

Old dated rooms. no breakfast. Price charge verged on the outrageous .Don't be fooled. Much better, much newer ,much cheaper lodging available literally a hundred feet away.I can't believe that this is an IHG property ....again don't be fooled.

I stayed here for 7 days. Traumatic. I was screaming and crying for help and staff just played it off. The staff seemed not to care even though what happened was a crime. It could never erase from my brain. The rooms weren't so bad it was alright in general.

My husband and I stay here for two months due to my husband's travel nurse job. We really enjoyed our stay. The space is great and spacious, well kept, clean, smells good, and provides everything for a long-term stay. It comes with kitchen space, utensils, bowls, plates, glasses, cutting boards, knives, pyrex Tupperware, etc. The room got clean once every week. They also have a mini store if you want to buy snacks, medicine, ice cream, etc., and the price is not over price. The staff is great, friendly, polite, and nice. The maintenance guy was very sweet; he made time to say goodbye to me before we left. My husband and I had a comfortable and cozy stay here; it was a fun two months. We definitely will come back and stay here if we ever plan to visit that area again.

Tv are old and small, no breakfast, cable programing service is bad and not user friendly. The rooms are ok. Well just an averaged hotel with a high price. Is only good to sleep so, so.
