Rude customer service and no one in the store to help

This ghost town of a store has somehow collected all of the unhappiest and rudest employees I have ever encountered. It is impossible to get help and everyone seems like they are being held at gunpoint to work here.
But after what happened this week, I will never shop at a Michaels again. My family member came here for framing help. They have a condition where they cannot stand for long periods of time and after standing at the framing counter for 8 minutes, the employee had still not acknowledged them. That is a ridiculous amount of time to not be spoken to or checked in with when a store is open and an employee is right there. The employee only finally said something to them when my family member had to lean against the counter after getting an alert on their watch about their balance. The employee told them to move somewhere else because they were working. Yup, and part of that is customer service, which was deeply lacking along with an absolutely appalling lack of empathy. This employee never asked if my family member needed help or was okay. This is not an above and beyond request and my family member just left to take her business elsewhere.
As a family of crafters, we used to frequent this place but it has been going downhill fast and this was the last straw. Take your business anywhere else because I know I will.

They are always stocked on the DYI's and the arts and crafts. Great store to go to.

Do not go to Michaels for latex balloons, I ordered mine for my event. Picked them up yesterday and they are all flat today. The manager I spoke with told me that they only last 8 hours however no one at the store ever mentioned that to me either when I ordered or picked up. Oh, I can purchase another bunch at full price. Manager was rude, no consideration and ridiculous bad service. Very disappointed. If I could I would give no stars.

I am bummed to make the decision of not returning to shop this location as it is close to home and usually has what I need however, the customer service is always lacking. Both times I have had to get fabric there, there is no one nearby to help and after pressing the button for assistance multiple times and having employees pass by unaware of their surroundings I have helped myself and then right away I’m helped with an employee who rudely informs me I can’t cut the fabric myself. I explained that I had been waiting there for almost 10 minutes with no help from passing employees or from the assistance button and she continued to argue with me instead of being apologetic. I will not support businesses that have employees not aware of their store surroundings and are rude to their customers after clearly being in the wrong.

Buying frames for the buy 1 get 2 free. Attempted to explain the isles were poorly marked and those on sale mixed in with others that are not. Gentleman stated, " they are clearly marked, that is a you issue. "

Customer service on the floor was great. Until we got to the front end where we were actually forced to use self check out to buy our items needed. We asked if we could get a cashier to check us out. And she said she would "happily" check us out but only if we needed assistance. Well, yes...i do need assistance because i dont work there. She wouldnt budge for checking out the line of customers forming. An older gentleman refused to use self check out as well because he was using card she still refused to check him out and pointed towards the self pay. This is going to upset quite a few people. It's not a generational thing. This is a company cutting costs for paying a cashier to be their last friendly greeting before exiting the store. Instead we had a negative experience leaving by just the tone of her voice and impatient way of speaking to the customers. If I wanted to check myself out I would have purchased online. Not giving the customer the option to check out with a cashier vs self pay is completely poor customer service, and created an argument between 3 different sets of customers. Poor design of a new policy. She could have just checked them out and sent us all on our way instead of creating a scene. Lacey WA Micheals do better.

Overall has great supplies and decor. When I went, they were out of the main things I was looking for, but when I went a second time I found everything I needed. Cheap fabric, good deals and good customer service. Would recommend to anyone looking for craft supplies.

Overly priced and not well stocked. You are better off buying off Amazon to be honest.
I do a lot of baking. This place is good when you need flavoring or boxes if you don't have enough time to wait for amazon. The only thing that really stands out are the candy melts for baked goods. You can't get them on amazon and they do have them on sale on occasions.
