Paige is shockingly still employed here and is as awful as ever. I just leave if I see her. She's a disgrace of a human. Now to add insult to injury there is another curt woman up from with her who is just as rude and unhelpful. This woman (dark hair, accent) is annoyed every time I go in. Not just with me. She's annoyed with everyone-- her colleagues, the other customers, the people on the phone. This place is a royal cranky old lady fest. I used to love this pharmacy before Rite Aid took over. When Wendy and Rick were there. They were kind humans who cared, were patient and thoughtful and kind. I hate Bartells now. Oh and your staff in the store part suck too. Tell them to get off their phones, and do some work and not treat customers like crap. Speaking of crap: someone should clean your bathrooms. Maybe one of your staff who are paid to play on their phones, or who like to be rude and make customers cry?

Love this store. It’s always clean and well stocked. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Also love that there is a post office inside! The pharmacy line can get crazy. I don’t send same day prescriptions there because they have been seriously understaffed.

My son rides his bike here, sometimes with his cat in a cat backpack, and always comes back telling me how nice everyone is to him. I have also thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the nice people that work there including the post man. After all these years they feel like family. Thank you Bartells for all your years of dedication in Lake Stevens, you're appreciated.

I've been a Bartells customer for well over 25 years and appreciate the friendliness, variety and simplicity of shopping there. I also use the pharmacy and the poor reviews seemingly fail to also recognize just how hard it is to find staff and what it's like having to make up that shortfall by working 2x hard. Healthcare in general, including pharmacies, are struggling; in part, because of the openly hostile behavior of patients. Also, Bartells Rx, because it has always been the primary pharmacy in this area, has a huge customer base which is great, but also stresses the system. I was also really sad to see the buyout of Bartells by Rite Aid, a pharmacy that often falls way short in customer service. Thankfully that negative experience hasn't followed to this Bartells.

Drive thru closed, husband stood in line for 20 minutes waiting on my inhaler and a few other things… only to be told it would have to be picked up tomorrow. Like breathing isn’t important or something. All i for sure needed was the inhaler. They didn’t answer the phone either after I waited on the line for a long time. Wow. I highly recommend making the improvements that so many have suggested. I’m very sad that I told my teladoc that I wanted to try this pharmacy out given that it was the closest one and less of a chain. Guess I need to stick to what I know is competent and helpful.

This Bartell (specifically pharmacy) is way understaffed and always busy. There is always a line and it's typical to have a 20 minute wait. The staff isn't always the friendliest but I probably wouldn't be either if I was always working short staffed. My husband has had problems with his medications being in stock and they they aren't good at communicating when/if they will ever be back in stock. We switched pharmacies and have had no problems. This place could probably run better and not upset so many people (look at all the bad reviews that are preventable) IF THEY HIRED MORE STAFF. I used to enjoy going to Bartell ever since I was a kid but not anymore.

Bye, Bartell's. Now that you're owned by Rite Aid, you just plain suck, and I'm never going back. I've archived all the prescriptions I had there, and am now getting them from another pharmacy, because you can't seem to get prescriptions ready on time anymore, and even two days past their due date you're still giving me dumb looks when I walk in to pick them up. I'd already given up on you for prescriptions, but unfortunately still thought I could get a COVID booster and flu shot done competently there. Made an appointment days ago.I'm in there a few minutes early for my 11 a.m. vaccine appointment. There's no sign pointing to any queue for vaccine check-in, so I pick a pharmacy queue and wait for help. I flagged down someone at Prescription Drop-Off to sign me in because the prescription pick-up line was six deep and slow. The vaccination room is dark and there's no one there, and there wouldn't be, for the next 20 minutes. That's right: you sign up for a vaccine appointment, and you wait 20 minutes past your appointment time, and this is after you've already filled in all the forms ahead of time online. The person who eventually administered the vaccine was standing around near the drive-thru window earlier doing nothing; I couldn't tell you what she was doing for 20 minutes. When I ask her what takes 20 minutes, she said, "we have to prep the vaccine." Nah. That doesn't take 20 minutes. They have absolute zero respect for anyone's time. It's partly about staffing, and partly about passive-aggressive employees with a blue-collar foot-dragging mentality, and neither of these things should ever be my problem as a customer.

Their pharmacy is terrible. They are rude and terrible customer service. They have no patience for anything. I will go elsewhere now. This is an ongoing thing here. Bartells doesn't belong in Lake Stevens.

The majority of the staff are hard working, knowledgeable, and friendly. The one massive exception is Paige. Paige is so rude, snappy, rolls her eyes, huffs, and is overall openly hostile. I absolutely hate calling or going to get my RX's. I have my spouse do it the majority of the time because dealing with this individual fills me with so much stress and anxiety, I'd rather go without my medication than have to deal with her. I thought maybe she had a personal vendetta against me with as awful as she's been, but reading these reviews makes it clear to me that she's just a miserable and nasty person who is hell bent on making others just as miserable. In no way, shape, or form should this woman be dealing with patients. The pharmacy has issues, yes, but by far the biggest and worst issue is Paige. Also of note: Lisa and Cheryl are absolute treasures and I give a huge sigh of relief every time I deal with them. They both deserve raises! (THEY get 5 stars).

The store and staff there are great! But, this review is for the pharmacy. The actual pharmacist is amazing! She is very nice and kind. However, I realize I left a review for one of the other staff before... but, the one that has been answering the phone the last couple of days is extremely rude, short, exhales into the phone with her frustration.. she's has an accent (which is no problem at all), but it helps narrow the staff to know which one she is. Her customer service is terrible. Please hire people with better customer service, or maybe it's because they're overworked? Idk. Either way, don't be rude to customers/patients, please. To conclude, this is not a review for the actual store. It's just the one person at the pharmacy..again.

This was a beautiful and bustling Bartell's back when the Bartell family actually owned it. The Dollar Tree Rite Aid is really starting to show. Sad. Kudo's to the staff who have to work with low budget Corporate.

It’s disappointing that they sold out to RiteAid. Born and raised in neighborhoods with Bartell and always always always a top notch store, I’m afraid they will be just like all the others now!

Honestly one of the worse pharmacy’s in Lake Stevens. They are constantly having internet issues where their systems are down. The lady that runs the drive thru is incredible rude. My doctor accidentally sent my prescription here. Will be transferring the prescription. Bartells corporate needs to do better. The employees here are over worked and doing the best they can but corporate needs to step up!

My name is Adrienne Walker. I, unfortunately, take oxycodone for chronic pain. For some reason my pharmacy and most of the surrounding pharmacies have oxycodone on backorder and could not fill my prescription refill, in a timely fashion. Bartell Drugs was the only pharmacy that offered me a solution so I did not have to go through withdrawal. My doctor contacted the pharmacy and they refilled my prescription for me, saving me from a horrible withdrawal. Elise was very professional and compassionate and got my refill ready in record time. She made me feel well cared for and she expedited things on her end to get me the help I needed. She calmed me down and came through for me. She is wonderful and deserves a raise ? thank you Elise and thank you Bartell Drugs!!

Their pharmacy may be slow, but at least they have poor service. The drive through seems to be closed more often than it's open. I guess 5 people working in the pharmacy is too few to also operate the drive through and offer the consistently poor service that we have all come to expect. They close for 30 minutes for lunch because they all need to have lunch at the same time and that's more important than serving customers. At least this store lets them close an extra 15 minutes early so they all get a 45 minute lunch together despite the 30 minute posted time. Hey, and the waiting customers can just shop in the main store out of boredom!
