I am a local and I feel this Shell Gas Station and the one up the road on the peninsula both ROB their customers! It’s sad that their excuse for such high prices are that they are so far out. Give me a break!!!! I have lived way out further than the Key Peninsula and the stores didn’t rob you! They treated you like a true neighbor. This store gouges the locals with their over exorbitant fuel prices! It’s ridiculous! Fuel is sometimes an entire $1.00 or more a gallon than anywhere else that doesn’t gouge its customers. Also you can drive out a little and get propane for over $1.60 a gallon cheaper.
They are very nice and friendly there. They should know how if feels when they have customers coming in and stealing or even robbing them. So why on earth would your make your local customers feel like you are robbing them? They are locals and without them you would close your doors. Lower your prices and sell more. In return, making more. If you just gouge your neighbors they will make sure they can drive out and buy cheaper fuel elsewhere. Sure, your convenient for grabbing something you may have forgot in town or a quick snack.
The owners need to do an experiment and surprise their local neighbors with the cheapest fuel prices to see what happens. You will make so much more money by selling more fuel and your neighbors will feel like your more honest and love them back for their loyalty!
So reduce your fuel and propane prices and see what happens. You would sell so much more and your profits would be so much higher! This is a win win for everyone! Have some balls and try it out!

This is local place for me and my favorite. The staff is always friendly and service is fast. Plus, there's a lot more there than gas.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and frequented this store every week at least once in that time. I’ve never had a problem until today, when I went in to buy energy and cbd drinks. I had to make two trips to the counter because not everything fit in my arms, and when I came back with the energy drinks the lady who I think is the owner, took the cbd drinks and told the other attendant to put them back in the fridge because they were cbd and I couldn’t buy them on ebt. Loudly, and with other people in the store. My first issue is that it felt like they were shaming me for using ebt (which I wasn’t). The second is that they made no attempt to speak quietly, and made sure everyone could hear. The third is that regardless of if I was using ebt (and there is NOTHING wrong with doing that!!), if I wanted those other drinks I could’ve paid for them with a different method! Both women were laughing the whole time, and although they were apologizing, none of it felt sincere since they clearly thought it was hilarious. So, if that’s what they assumed about me, what other assumptions are they making AND SAYING to others?? Just rude and uncalled for.Mind your business.

I tried to have my 30gallon propane tank filled but they were rude about not having enough help so refused to do anything. They need to have people who can help and be better prepared for bigger tanks!

Gas price is a little high but they are kinda far out. But, being far out the carry a lot of extra items that you would not have a most gas stations. Food is reasonably priced and costumer service is great.
