Ive been banking here for 10 years and the service has been lousy for about 5 years now. 5-15 minute waits in drive-up lanes happen at least 80% of the time even when Im the only customer or maybe 1 other person next to me. And for simple transactions. So I decided to go into the lobby in hopes of faster service. Same story, its me and maybe 1 or 2 people in line and it takes 10 minutes at least for service. There are at least 2 desk staff on duty that should step up to help but dont. Another desk staff looks and dresses like he is working in a warehouse or assembly line but certainly not a bank. Not even business-casual. Unreal. Ill be looking at other banks to do business with.

This review is regarding Columbia Bank engaging in unfair and deceptive trade practices and violating the Consumer Protection Act. For those with savings accounts, if you make more than 6 transfers per month the bank will charge you $5 per every additional transfer over 6 transfers. When you ask to have the money returned the bank will tell you it is government mandated. Here is your law lesson for the day: Columbia Bank is relying on Federal Reserve Regulation D to impose unfair fees on their customers. Federal Reserve Regulation D has been suspended indefinitely. There is no government mandate. It is simply the bank being greedy and making money off of poor people who are struggling. For the record, in case anyone is curious. Banking institutions make $31,000,000,000 (YES BILLION) a year off of the ignorance of consumers making more than 6 transfers per month from their savings accounts. Pick a better bank. Preferrably one that cares about its customers.

I don't bank here, but after moving to the area, I have consistently come here for random errands. They are always helpful and friendly despite my not having an account. I don't know about columbia as a whole, but this specific branch is amazing... And if anything happens with my current credit union, you can bet I'll be banking here.

Lakewood Columbia bank has always been totally awesome! The only bank I've ever used and will stay that way. Today I went in for a deposit and my daughter noticed the Tootsie roll jar next to the register. The teller offered her a wider selection and then grabbed a candy from another register for my kiddo. Very friendly and efficient and a great hire there. While was finishing up my deposit another woman from the desks overheard my daughter menrioninm that she needed to use the rest room and immediately spoke up to offer for her to use the restroom in the back. Just an overall kind and considerate environment every time I visit. Thanks Columbia bank Lakewood!

Columbia Bank has been my bank for many years. Columbia Bank routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty to serve its valued customers. For instance, I usually come inside to do my banking because, with my arthritis, it's less hassle than fumbling with the tube at the drive-up window. I am always greeted by name promptly and cheerfully. Seldom have I had to wait more than a minute to get to an available cashier. Whether it's sending wire transfers to my daughter in NY, ordering foreign money for an upcoming trip, providing financial advice to protect an aging friend's estate, or providing "carry out" services when I couldn't handle carrying a big plant they had given me, this bank exemplifies the very best of "home town banking!"

I just came from this bank in tears after they discriminated against me. I went to cash a check from tax return and it was only 1000 they said I don't have enough activity or enough to cover the check if it bounces it was a government check with a water seal she charged me a fee for cashing even though I bank with them and after that fee she said she could only give me half. I asked for $700 so I could pay rent she was convinced and did so.. She didn't follow guidelines or procedures .I was off work and wearing sweats she made me feel like a criminal. Tomarrow when that check goes through ill be pulling my $300 off and closing my account I only used it for uber is why I had no activity I have a prepaid card with direct deposit from my job. Along with closing my account ill be doing research and reporting to ABC news about this one
