Ok , I'll be honest , I worked at joanns for 27 years and was happy when I heard that Michael's had acquired some of the company's brands etc. I couldn't resist stopping in - they're coming hard with Halloween already. I wish they were going to really start carrying fabric . I wish I was on the planning team !!? Just missing Joanns - Michael's is cool , just not the same.

This is the store if you're into art and craft. They have things I would not have thought of. This is one of my favorite places to visit. I am so impressed.

Michaels I am officially no longer spending my money with this company. Went to two location in lakewood and tacoma Wa and the stores had nothing for black history month displaying or for sale. When was this decision was made I don't know nor do I really care. Just know that in 2024 it's giving me were not racists we have 6 minorities in the company vibe. This company knew what that were doing when they made the decision to pull this move. So with that being said since this corporation can not seem to stalk all stores with materials to support black heritage I can no longer spend my black dollars at your stores. And I would like to pre warn others to don't be surprised when they may go to their local location and have to encounter the same mess. It real disrespectful to see Saint Patti day get more respect.
