The truck had a giant gash in the Passenger side of the truck, and the Passenger door was a challenge to closeBut the truck was clean and smelled like it was freshly cleaned.

Youssif Rocks! I nominate him for Best in Customer Services 2023. He's handsome too. ☺️ It's nice to be treated like a human being. At times I need things explained in detail when I'm spending my hard earned money. Excuse me for breathing. Skip the rude attitude.

I wanted a vehicle transport to tow my vehicle. The clerk asked a lot of questions about my vehicle to be towed and told me that I would need a vehicle transport trailer. I rented the recommended trailer. I tried to put my car on the trailer and the rear wheels would not make it all the way off of the ramp and onto the trailer. The trailer bed was about 5 inches too short. I took the trailer back to U-Haul and told them the problem and asked for a refund for the trailer. They had to contact the general manager concerning the requested the refund. The manager was rude and unconcerned about the issue and stated that U-Haul does not make mistakes. According to the General Manager the issue is a customer problem. The general manager would not give any refund at all. I would not recommend using U-haul at all.

Madison is the most incompetent employee to ever work a day in her life. I hated my experience at this location MOSTLY because of her. She completely forgot I was waiting for her to check my mileage and give me my reimbursement - she claimed she was on the phone with her boss. No, she was in the back eating & being INCOMPETENT. I have to wait to come get my reimbursement because supposedly the Internet was down & she couldn't print my receipt or let me know how much I needed to be reimbursed. I actually hate her.

A couple of things.1. Horrible customer service. The people there act like they're mad at me for coming into the store. If they aren't happy to see a paying customer, then don't have a job...... anywhere.2. I set everything up online and got to the store and they didn't have the equipment that I was supposed to have. The person there said "I don't know why they do that" and said that I had to take the lesser of what I ordered or nothing. Rude.

Double checked the hours, place should be open at 9 am. Rolled up today (10/29) at 9:10 and there was a line forming but no one inside and lights off. Stayed until 9:30, still no employees arriving. Decided to try another location. I should have trusted the reviews and planned to go somewhere else from jump.

Had the unlucky experience to walk up to the counter of Madison, at Uhaul of Lakewood, terrible customer service.When I walked up she asked what my last name was then said gimme your driver's license. THAT'S NOT HOW YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING.She then proceeded to ask where i was moving. I told her the address on my DL and she she said no you can't be moving there if you lived there in 2019. I told her that where i was moving and she rolled her eyes like she didn't believe me and asked for 3 "emergency contacts". I rented a truck last year and didn't have to give all of this information.When the transaction was over I askee what about the tape and boxes that I purchased online and she said, "they're over there." And just pointed.She offered no assistance until she thought we were taking too many boxes.It was not busy there was only 1 other customer waiting but I felt rushed, profiled and disrespected.

Scammers!!!! Rented truck and trailer for a day and was told that I can check it in after hour in the app or they will do it next day. Now they charge me extra $ 208 because I was late to return and that I left less gas than it had. That's total B.S. the app said I don't have any equipment rented and no option to return anything, and I filled up the truck full !!!!

I scheduled from 31 Aug to 02 Sep to be safe.. I picked the truck on 31 Aug st 0909hrs as scheduled. I returned the truck on 01 Sep at 530pm. I completed my move earlier. Yoyr attendant stated I was still charged till 02 Sep. . WHY... Uf thats your policy then this us the last time I do business wirh uhaul and I will ensure I tell my friends and when asked not to seek assistance from uhail. Your unfair and injust with your polices.... never again with Uhaul.

This store goes through managers once every year. Their equipment is ill-maintained, kept popping fuses in my truck then had the guts to tell me it was my truck and not their trailer after the employee admitted they don't have a trailer mechanic. The person backing me up to the hitch was playing on their phone, also.Not only that, I tried ordering and buying a hitch for my mustang from this location two years ago. Paid the shipping and the cost, was refunded the cost but not the shipping all before being told uhaul was unable to produce my order.

My husband and I stopped by this location because our personal trailer lights weren’t working. The crew was so helpful, gave us their tools to use, and even used their own time to try and help us. Such a helpful and kind crew.

I should have listened to the bad reviews for this location, and I didn't and now I regret it. Over $600 later, and I have a hitch that doesn't work on my car that keeps hitting the ground. U-Haul openly admitted to me on the phone that it was installed incorrectly and requested I come in so they could fix it. I told them I didn't have a need for the hitch anymore because I had to make a last minute decision to haul my items in another way (I was forced to move across the country in a very short time span unexpectedly, long story). I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life when I asked how they could make this right. I requested some sort of reimbursement, SOMETHING. I even asked for them to at least have a little empathy of how incredibly stressful it is to get a hitch installed and then have something hitting the ground as you drive over any little bump while you're in the midst of trying to prepare to move/drive across the country...nothing. I was treated with more rudeness and standoffishness. I was told they did everything they were supposed to do and "followed U-Haul instructions" yet at the same time he admitted to me they installed it wrong?

Place is a joke..reserved truck, blankets,dollys everything we needed two weeks before we needed it and we get there at 9 am and place wasn’t open like it said it should have. So we come back 2 hours later and they were rude punks not having anything we reserved and told us at least we get the truck. we lost it and they refused service to me not a big deal another uhaul gave us everything we needed with a discount. The people that work in Lakewood uhaul are hella getto.

They are the most competent staff ever. Today, Dylan in particular, was extremely helpful! I'm an older lady. Not familiar with brake system in this newer cargo van. He came all the way over to help me figure it out before I got on the ferry boat. So Blessed with these helpful folks!!Louise Sutton
