Being the only game in town, this place could treat customers like DIRT and get away with it. But they DON'T. 5-Star Staff; 5-Star Service; A true Asset to the local community. This place rules. Period.

Julie is awesome. She even has cookies for the dog. But more importantly, she keeps regular hours and goes above and beyond just running the store. As a small business owner, I really appreciate her help.

A very rude and clueless individual. No idea how to process an Amazon scan code return. Took it off island without issue.

Dropped off package for return with prepaid label for FedEx--and shows it was never picked up. Just disappeared. So, who ended up with item, if Fed Ex didn't pick up?? Never was delivered, so package lost worth over $100.

Showed up at 4:00 with a return package and a dollar bill as warned by previous reviewers, well in advance of the 4:30 closing time listed here. Closed and locked.

We wanted to drop off a UPS pre-paid package, which I verified they accepted by calling ahead of time. While there, the person behind the counter was visibly annoyed, like he was being put out. He then charged $1 to take the package (already labeled, boxed up, and prepaid). We were confused, but we paid anyways. We will never go there again, for anything. If you don't want to accept prepaid UPS packages, then make it your policy, rather than randomly charging $1 (which I don't even know if this is acceptable per UPS policy).

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the last reviewer. We needed a mail drop when we first moved to Whidbey because mail delivery was spotty on our end of the island. However, at GHL we continually found other people's mail in our box and our packages were sometimes smashed under larger boxes. When we pointed this out to the owner he would blame the post office, UPS, FED Ex, or some "temporary worker." When an important piece of mail recently went missing we called and asked him if it could have wound up in someone else's box because we had verification of delivery. Instead of checking, he raged at us and put a big "cancelled" sign on our mail box. I told him I was going to have our mail forwarded back to the post office for pick-up and he threatened to throw our mail in the trash instead of having it returned. Then he demanded $80 even though we had paid for six months of service in advance and we technically entitled to a refund, which we didn't request. I figure we lost at least half a dozen pieces of mail in the past few months at GHL. It is far safer to use the Post Office. The owner at GHL doesn't seem to enjoy his job or his customers. Too bad because every other merchant in Langley is pretty devoted to good customer service.
