Make sure to call well ahead of time because the wait can be quite long but they have a great system and it's worth it! They texted us a link for the waitlist and we were able to explore Leavenworth and check up on where we were on the list. They texted us when we were near the top of the list.Make sure to order a giant pretzel to share. We tried it with the cheese sauce - it was like a fondue sauce. The beef goulash tastes home made and it really was tender! The spatzle also delicious. The live music was a guy playing the accordion and it made for a lively atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and the service was good.Visited 26 December 2017.

It’s like walking into a folk tale. The staff are friendly and the food are pretty traditional- you won’t find chicken nuggets or pizza here ?The portions are pretty big, so if you want to share with your company you can. I did not.I got the Andreas Keller Sampler and it was piping hot! The many meats were delicious and I’m a lover of their pickled red cabbage.I can’t wait to go back to try more!Jokes about German sausages are the wurst ?

My wife and I have went to this resturaunt over the past few years since 2012. Sadly it has lost our interest as a good place to eat quality German food. Our pretzel was dry and flavorless without the mustard sauce to dip it in. The red cabbage and the spatzle with the schnitzel were a hot mess. Poor presentation, mediocre overall service, food, and atmosphere all at a premium price. I hope others have a better experience.

I’m sad to see that this establishment is currently temporarily closed. I wanted to leave a review nonetheless. Back in 2011 we took our young sons to Leavenworth right before Christmas on a little vacation. I remember a lot of great times and all and super love family memories. But my tastebuds override things I can’t control. I hate living 4+hours away, because that meat+noodles+red cabbage meal has stuck with me as one of the top 5 best things I’ve ever tasted in my now 43 years of life. I’ve tried making it myself but it’s like eating play dough in comparison. If I ever make it back to Leavenworth, this place will be why. I don’t have pictures to share but I remember the waiters and waitresses dressed up in German clothes and the accordion player. The atmosphere was so unique. I would love to revisit again!!Kid-friendliness: Our 3 young sons were very welcome there. Youngest was under 2.

Great, authentic food. We tried several Schnitzel in the area and theirs is by far the best. Live accordion music was so much fun too.

We asked a ton of people where the best / most authentic German dinner could be found,, Everyone said Andreas Keller!Great menu and the atmosphere is amazing.Parking: Parking in Leavenworth is not really a thing. Walking is your only option for this joint.

We got the Pork hock. This German food was okay, nothing special. The pork hock was a tad bland. We had to add salt and pepper to taste. What was worst was the cake. It was so gross. It was like eating a day or 2 old cake. It was so dry and bland tasting. A grocery cake is way better. Nothing gourmet about this cake. They need a new recipe as it's disgusting ?

Cute little restaurant. Friendly staff. I ordered pretzel (super good) and classic pork Wiener schnitzel. I didn’t enjoy the pork breaded, it was bland and too much breading.

Ambience is bery Charming made with rustic German flair. The Gluhwine was delicious ! Ordered the Pork hock which was not great to my taste the Kazespatsle wasnt great either. Not many other vegetarian options. May be I just chose the wrong item. Will have to try something else in the menu another time.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options, my wife hates

This basement level restaurant is hard to get into, as judged by the 90-minute wait for a dinner table at 5:15 on New Year's Day. I did appreciate that they kept an online waitlist, which allowed us to roam the town and find another busy restaurant for dinner. We returned the next day for lunch and waited a few minutes for a table due to a staff shortage. Food is tasty and typically heavy German. We enjoyed the Kassler Kottlet, a big fatty pork chop with a side of sauerkraut, and the schnitzel. My kids loved the fries. Understaffed like seemingly every restaurant in Leavenworth, but thankfully the servers were friendly and efficient.Parking: On most days, need to park in the paid lots away from the pedestrian area and walk to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids liked the French fries! They do have a kids menu with smaller portion sizes.
