Der Sportsmann is a fantastic outdoors supply store located in the middle of Leavenworth town proper. It is a great local business and the only cool store to visit. It offers high quality footwear, clothing, and all the gear needed for adventures, including sporting goods, camping equipment, climbing and bouldering gear, hiking and climbing books, maps, and fishing gear. The store has an amazing, legitimately helpful, upstanding, and knowledgeable crew of staff members who are very friendly, honest, and committed to helping customers explore the area. They are very keen on providing service. This includes a bike service and a nordic ski shop, along with rentals for mountain bikes, crash pads, climbing shoes, nordic skis, and snowshoes. The staff was the main reason many customers chose to purchase there versus online, as the in-person service deserves business and support. It is important to note they close at 6pm and are closed on Sundays, so bear this in mind for supply runs. The store gets 10 stars and comes highly recommended for rentals and shopping.
I really appreciate the customer service of John at Der Sportsman. He was incredibly helpful and stood by the quality of their products. When my family and I go to Leavenworth this is our favorite store to visit whether it’s for jackets, boots, or accessories. Thanks for the great experience!
