Fun place with a beautiful backdrop. Watched Sound of Music and loved it! They not only used the stage but used the surrounding area as their stage as well. They have a separate parking area and you can either wait for the shuttle to take you up or walk up a minature hill to the theatre. Chairs were folding chairs so thank goodness for chair cushions. Got bitten by mosquitos once the sun went down. Definitely will still go again though.

This outdoor production of the sound of music is awsome. In the mountains near Leavenworth it is nothing short of magical. I remember seeing the movie when it came out in 1965. Makes me an old man right. But if you can see this production do so. It runs through the end of August on weekends and some weekdays. You will leave very entertained.

Beautiful theater, the mountains in the backdrop adds to the magic. We watched The Sound of Music here and totally loved it. Awesome acting, and my 6-year-old stayed engaged throughout the two hour performance. It's a short hike from the car park to the theater. There's also a shuttle service.

Lots of sleds Christmas day despite all the "NO SLEDDING" signs everywhere. Was a blast and the kids really enjoyed it. This should become a Christmas tradition.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this theatre! It is such a beautiful setting! Talent is great, and my favorite show to watch here is "The Sound of Music". Something about being on a hillside watching a show is just magical! This is great for families, couples and even singles just looking for a relaxing night out!

What a great little spot.We went there on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy the sledding hill. So much fun! Expensive but fun. They rope tow you to the top, kick you off and send you flying. The run is short but way, way, way faster than it appears.Expect to pay $100 for 4 people.

Seeing Sound of Music here was nothing short of magical. The wind even picked up and blew Maria’s dress as she sang her opening song. My friend and I looked at each other and said “is this even real?” Make sure to book as soon as you know you’re coming though cus tickets sell out fast and you want to be able to sit with your people!

It's a great outdoor theater. They offer you a very thick cushion for your chair for $1.00. Don't turn it down, it's a bargain. We watched The Sound of Music. It was wonderful. It rained on us for a short time. We still had a lovely time and enjoyed the play very much. There is a shuttle to take you up to the theater from the parking lot if you are elderly or disabled. The actors will then escort you to your seat. This was our first experience with an outdoor theater. We're going to another play tomorrow evening and we're looking forward to it.

Very unique way to enjoy a musical. I was in town for the weekend and saw the Sound of Music for the first time. The view and the experience of seeing the musical made for quite the experience. It is a slight walk to get to the stage and only porta-potties available but those are only minor inconveniences. They offer cushions for $1 since they use white folding chairs in the theater. Definitely an experience to remember in Leavenworth!
