We felt this place is majorly overhyped. Perhaps our expectations were too high considering reservations sell out literally in three minutes but I honestly can't understand why. The raw oysters were good. But for me, that wasn't enough to overlook some of the shortcomings of the experience. If you are coming in summer, you should be aware there's a serious bee and fly problem. To the point where we saw multiple tables had brought a bug zapper with them. That in itself is absurd. I recognize it's an outdoor venue but we felt like we were getting attacked while trying to enjoy our food. I also saw them swarming the plates of food before they were brought out to tables. There are no bathrooms, only porta-potties. They weren't disgusting but given the amount of money spent here, I'd expect toilets that flush. There is no table service, even with a reservation. This wouldn't be a problem if there weren't long lines to get drinks or order food. You will also have to bus your own tables. We also didn't really have a view of the water. These all seem like small things but when added together, it led to a disappointing experience. If you've been to Westcott on San Juan, this doesn't at all compare - perhaps having that experience ruined it for us.

2 dozen oysters are included with the reservation, 12 on the half shell and 12 baked. We added clam chowder, a Louie salad and drinks. In total, a bit pricey, but views were great and parties sit in these plywood A frame huts open on the sides. Bathrooms were outhouses with common area sinks.

We drove 2 1/2 hours from Seattle to enjoy fresh oysters and sides at the legendary Hama Hama. We had a reservation and were seated at a front row “teepee “ table adjacent to ocean oyster beds. This is not a fine dining/white table cloth experience. You order at central window and they bring your food. The food was terrific. The fresh oysters and roasted were both excellent. We slightly favored the bourbon baked and had an extra dozen. Also enjoyed fresh crab cakes and wonderful shrimp and clam chowder. We had local draft beer and a bottle of German Mosel Reisling, which paired well with the fresh seafood. Enjoy!

This is quite an operation. There are stations for appetizers and beverages. Hostess station where you get a number. When your # is called, they assign you a covered table, and you can then order your food and beverage. There is a separate water station. Food is delivered to your table, and then you are on your own. We had clam and corn chowder and shrimp cocktail for appetizer. Our main meal was BBQ pork sandwich with coleslaw and chips, Crab cake with coleslaw and a little salad with dill dressing and roasted oysters. Everything was pretty good except what I would think was the main attraction. The roasted oysters. They were lukewarm, and the meat to shell ratio was very low. A man came at the end to bus our table and asked how everything was. We told him about the oysters, and he said he would see if he could do something. He never came back. We left kind of disappointed with the service in spite of the wonderful view.

So if you are plotting a trip and see this, the farm store here is an Oyster Farm. They have fresh seafood here as well as other events. It's a great stop if you are touring around the Hood Canal area.

Made reservations but had to stand in line with walk-in’s. Did not ask for a receipt but should have for 2 reasons: 1) to make sure the airhead taking orders got ours correct and 2) to know who did such a horrible job with our order. Over $200 for food that came without utensils for our group of 6 (only 2 forks) and had to wait for the rest (not everything we ordered) of our food as only 2 dozen oysters come with reservation and that is all you get checking in. Oh and if you want to order more food good luck, you have to get back in line! Oysters were good but my advice is skip this tourist trap and head down to Taylor’s (farm not restaurant) in Sheldon or get fresh in the store and go enjoy where you are staying as I promise you will have a better experience.

Excellent oysters. Really cool spot, but be cautioned by their reservation system. It costs $75 to make a reservation and itcomes with two dozen oysters. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to that charges to make a reservation. Everything you order is paid on top of the $75 fee (it’s not a deposit as we assumed). Turned into a very expensive lunch for two people. In summary, next time we’ll come without a reservation during a day/time that’s not busy to get all the benefits without being forced to eat items that are overpriced and excessive for 1-2 people.
