Avoid at all costs. I love using USPS to send packages but this office is absolutely the worst staff I've ever met. Go to OP for way better customer service.

Really gone downhill over the years, never had any issues before. They decide to make up an excuse for not delivering the package when its raining or whatever other reason when they don't wanna do their job that day and then just drop mail into the mud under the box sometimes and leave it there. Its annoying having to go in to pick up all the time, kinda defeats the purpose of delivery. They dont tend to be the friendliest at the desk either, tone of voice and eyebrows that say why are you still here bothering me.

Long Beach P.O. is the absolute worst example of postal service I have ever experienced. It's not enough that they regularly lose my packages and I don't always get my mail, but the manager is completly unhelpful. Informed delivery doesn't even help because the manager there won't help me. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Hence I'm leaving a negative review in hopes that something may change.

I went into this post office because I needed to mail 2 postcards that were hard postcards and so they needed to be hand stamped. I was told that they would have to charge me as if they were a package and it would be over five dollars per card. I told her I've been purchasing these cards all across America and only paid a dollar something per card to mail them. She was very rude and said well you can talk to the postmaster and then walked off towards the postmaster. I left due to how rude she talked to me. I then drove down to another post office just down the street and was able to send them like I've been sending them across America after she told me all the other post offices were doing them incorrectly.

Has sent back products when it has not been 5 days. Foul language. From the 1st day new people took over several months ago everything is messed up. Got 2 more newbies recently, everything w/them moves MUCH better. Not so w/ with older empolyees

We go into the Post Office two and three times a week asking for my packages because I never know if I’m going to get a notice in my box or not which I never do so I go directly and ask for it they’re still sending my packages back and the hassle I have trying to get my money back or the package resent is a real bummer And the postmaster in Long Beach is extremely rude and immature and very unprofessional.This never happened when any of the other postmaster‘s were there I have lived here for 40 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.And then, when I went to get in my car, I overheard Tammie talking about me very unprofessional

The service in the post office itself is horrible they constantly return your packages. You're constantly having to contact the company to get either a refund or remail and prove that it was returned. This is a new group of people and ever since the service here has been horrible I miss the old employees how do you. But I want to clarify that the girls that are on the rural routes are wonderful it's in the office where the troubleis. They are very disorganized! You go in to pick up all your packages and they miss some and then they send them back because they say you didn't come in, I've lived here over 40 years and this is the first time I've ever seen it like this

What can I say? It's a post Office. I love that they have online self service and self service in the lobby. That's a definite improvement. That helps kill the long lines. Some of the personnel have improved attitudes, but some are still rather cranky. This is across the board at any location.

Just decided to close and leave no access to pick up packages already delivered to PO boxes. Said there was a gas leak but the fire department said there was not. I have a package I need for my business and they have put no thought into getting paying customers their packages. One can understand being closed for a day or so, but this is going on a week with no solution. The post office accepted and signed for the delivery on Monday, but I am told there is no way for me to pick it up. If they could not access the building on Monday, how did they sign for the package? Very frustrating and absurd to just shut down a post office this way. I would give 0 stars if I could.

How are you going to delayed this package for severe weather when it's fine out? This is the best day recently and this is ridiculous. I paid for 2 day delivery and youre office failed to complete there contracted delivery

Straight irritated got told to come back 3 times for my package and I told them I need the package and they haven't even looked for it just says that there understaffed and can't get to it yet seems like everyone else was getting there packages today besides mine that's been there sence 3 in the morning

Sheila was uninformed and downright rude. I came in for a passport application. I had every document required according to the government website. She insisted that I was wrong and needed additional documents, arguing with me over the wording of the website. She tried to refuse my application, then tried to convince me it was for my benefit because it would save me money on having to reapply later. I tried to work with someone else, but was informed that she was the only employee authorized to take applications. After fighting for over an hour in tears I finally convinced her to let me apply, even if I might have to come back and pay a second time with what she deemed the requirements. She also told me I would not get my passport back for at least 6 months IF it was accepted. The government approved my application almost immediately and I got the passport in under a month. Sheila needs to be retrained.
