We've hit some hard times at my house. My wife has been bedridden for 3 years and now she has. Uh, a thoracic tumor.And blood 3 blood clots. We don't know if it's cancer yet we will know. When she has her pet and cat Scan reviewed the 21st of November.So while also receiving help at the At the loon Lake food bank. I also volunteer when I can which amounts to at least one at the most 2 times a week. But I can tell you. It's a wonderful place. So people really work hard to make sure families are fed. I'm 61 and most of those folks are older than I am by almost 12years a few over 20.But they really work hard for the community and most of them as far as I know are volunteers.They're a fun group of people and they work in the cold. They lift boxes all day. They work hard to get food to people who need it. And they don't turn away people who get there. I'm grateful and I hope I can always help. Please support your local food banks.

My brother in law use to be able to pick the groceries he could eat from the pantry, since Covid tho he has had to take all that they give him which is way more than he can use before it goes bad since it is already close to going bad when it he received it. We are thankful for the food bank, we are sorry we don’t have a solution for better management of the food. Another problem we don’t have a solution for is we now wait in line in our cars, moving up one car length at a time idling between moves because of the need for heat in the winter or cooling in the summer.

It's a great place to store your food I've been bringing mine there for a couple years now and they always take good care of it. Oh I kid I kid it's a great food Bank. You pull up in front of the food bank and they load you. Who does that? They didn't even require that I filled out the paperwork before receiving the food. Was not a lot of meat and there was a lot of sweets but it was all good stuff. Thank you Loon Lake Food Bank
