Came in for a car loan and ended up taking longer than expected, 45 minutes past their close time. But Tony was very helpful, friendly, and gracious throughout the entire process. He explained at each step what was happening and why things were taking as long as they were, managing our expectations very well. We were able to originate the loan in the same visit which was a great surprise as well.Been to this branch a few times, never any problems - pleasant interactions each time. Yes it's busy and you might have to wait, but that should tell you something about how many people choose BECU over the nearby alternatives.

Excellent service. The service seems consistent among all branches it seems this credit union knows how to hire and retain high quality employees. Wallet was stolen and James made a stressful situation easier and lowered my stress levels. Thank you!

Person setting up account made a mistake (apparently created a copy of the account) which I learned a few days later after spending an hour on hold and going through tech support to fix it. This is on the branch employee for making the mistake, but probably mostly on BECU for having the software that made the mistake easy.

Absoultely horrendus wait times and online banking is super outdated, it takes 2-5 business days to get your online banking activated. If you want to wire money then you have wait for few hours to get fax confirmation and there is no email confirmation of wire money in 2023. Closing my account withing 72 hours of opening.

I highly recommend BECU. But not the Lynnwood branch office. This office should be shut.Every time I go there they explain to me they are a small understaffed branch, not a real office just here to help people in emergencies since they don't have much access to many other normal services at a regular BECU office. At this branch you can only get cash from the ATM. Deposit checks & cash into the ATM. If you want any other services, you have to wait for usually 20 to 30 minutes then someone will approach you and most likely say sorry we are too small of a branch to do that. I asked to send a wire transfer and the lady said oh my, Okay I'll try. She sat me at her office made several phone calls and looked frustrated. I asked have you done this before? She said not many. She said it will take her at least 40 minutes to figure out the forms. Then she may have them ready to sign, But sine it will be after 1PM when she finishes it won't be sent out till Monday and likely not available till Tuesday. I'm okay with the delay in sending it, however why does it take so long to complete the form? She says I should just go to a bigger branch that deals with wire transfers more often. It is a domestic transfer going from Lynnwood to a bank in Ballard. This branch is really an ATM that has paid employees to tell you to use the ATM.

I am a fan of BECU because they offer free services that other credit unions don't. When times are tough, they will reduce or even eliminate fees for members, and they offer 0% interest for visa's The Lynnwood branch is busier than others, and it would be helpful if they had more employees to help the customers. I have been in there a lot and have walked out because I don't want to wait. However, when I do receive service it is good.

I used to come here all the time to cash checks even though I don't have a BECU account. This time the check was rejected and when I went inside to ask for help, she just looked at my card and said this isn't a BECU card and told me to go to a different bank for help. No really? Thanks! I couldn't read my own card... I've never been a member here, and now I definitely never will. Don't bother with the canned response you give every bad other review BECU. You've already lost any chance at having me as a customer. I'm not emailing you about it. Hire better staff, train then to be less condescending to potential customers, and maybe save a future customer. This one is gone.

I love this bank don't get me wrong, the staff at this branch is so bad unfortunately, the vibes, the attitudes are so not welcoming and there is zero professionalism. I hope the staff gets trained because I still want to go there and get things done as normal.

I had a check deposited on Saturday. And only gave me a small portion, which I knew would happen. When I call them to confirm when I would get the remainder they said Wednesday. I called Wednesday when I didn’t receive my money and they told me I would get it next Monday. I asked them to send me a email to confirm that. They refused. I asked for a supervisor and she lied and said there’s a 5 day hold policy. Which, there isn’t, I read there entire policy online. And, if there was, why didn’t she send me a simple confirmation email. This isn’t an institution you can trust.Customer service manager: EmilyCustomer service rep: Eric
