Terrible experience. The dealer (older man) is extremely rude and bully. I had an appointment to see a rebuilt title car. First he didn't even let me in the office, he immediately stepped out and said "here is the car". I took a minute to look around the car and noticed that the glove box was hanging lose and had different color from the rest of the dash board. I politely asked if they replaced this...oh man that pissed the guy off. He had an hostile stare at me and said, you know what " I already don't like this appointment". I was like why? What happened? and he is like I'm an old man and I don't have the patience for all this...and repeated, I don't like this appointment. I was like OK..have a good day, and I left.Is that how you treat customers? It wasnt even a walkin, it was a scheduled appointment...When I come with hard earned cash to buy a vehicle from you, can't I even ask a question???Stay away from this place folks. The rude guy will ruin your mood and your day.

I don't review things on yelp but if it can help anybody not have to deal with these scumbags, I'll do it. Told me a car was available, drove all the way down there, they had already sold it, then this guy tried to sell me a different car

Stopped by to check out a car I was interested in, brought my fiancé to help since I'm new to cars, we look over everything. Heard a sound coming from the engine of the Subaru I was interested in, which made me nervous about the car. I understand some engines are louder then others, however it was a grinding sound I've never heard before, and got louder the longer the car was idling for. Loved everything else about the car, however that was something to think about, since it will be my first vehicle. Once I told him we're done looking and we'll contact if we're interested, he then proceeded to tell me I'm not buying the car, and that he's been working as a dealership for years. That I want a brand new car with no scratches, dents or whatever else.. from there I left with a bad experience there. Not only is he telling me what I WANT, he's telling me with a rude demeanor. I really don't care about scratches or dents, let's be real. I'm a new driver, I'm probably going to scratch it myself so that's whatever, but that engine is something I'd rather not worry about in the future.I'm glad others have had a good experience, but I didn't. I do appreciate the time he let us look over the car, but I don't want to give someone lots of money when they talk down to me. But that's just me I guess. Not friendly to new car owners.

I would highly recommend G&R auto sales. Roman was super nice, & took care of a couple minor issues with the Subaru I purchased quickly, no problem. Lots of cars to choose from, great value....love my Subaru Impreza!

8-22-23G and R Auto Sales Inc. ReviewI have bought many cars online over the years, all over the United States. Of course, most the time sight unseen. I think I've got a good feel for cars. I have researched cars through Edmonds, KBB, Car Gurus, TrueCar, Carvana, et al. I used to think of only dealing with private individuals. I don't care for big dealerships. Then I saw these young people, "private individuals", on Facebook marketplace just flipping cars. They don't have a clue. They think they are experts, but all they want is money, not necessarily getting what is best for the client. Therefore, my idea of buying just from "private individuals", went out the window. I still don't trust big dealerships, because they have a sales quota. I'm finding you focus on small mom-and-pop's dealerships i.e. Roman and G&R Auto Sales. He doesn't have the unlimited resources that big dealerships have. He does have the knowledge and experience that the "private individuals" don't.I have never felt more comfortable with the vehicle unseen purchase then I have with Roman. He is a bit gruff, and English is his second language. His heart is in the right place, and has a problem being a salesman. Keep in mind the kind of clientele he is use dealing with... used-car people. Not to say that is bad ( I am one), but sometimes unrealistic. He tries to negotiate in good faith, but that doesn't always happen all the time.He and I over the last three weeks have communicated well. And I always felt comfortable with that. I also knew that I wasn't his only customer. He is a busy person. I also wasn't "in heat", in a hurry. He was gruff but honest. He didn't pull punches.I am also in professional sales at a corporate level. But I deal with a totally different type of people. More affluent. Trust is at a different level that Roman deals with day to day. Trust is the bottom line of any contract. Especially in this day and age and in his industry. If you can't communicate effectively and in an efficient manner, Roman is not for you nor does he suffer fools. He went the extra mile. I mentioned that my family (German in-laws, wife and daughter) are going on a 3,000 mile excursion back to Kansas in that vehicle. He did a GREAT job of making sure they would be safe. I am looking at buying another vehicle, and thinking of traveling from KS to WA to buy it from him. Although, I am not sure of his inventory of Lamborghini and Ferrari.

I so regret not thinking to check online reviews for this place. My first time buying a used car. Don't buy a rebuilt title car unless you know what you're doing. BE VERY CAREFUL.On the one hand, Roman's been hardened being in the industry for 30+ years. It's not easy selling used cars if you're not a sociopath. You're rebuilding cars to sell and there are some decisions you have to make as to what to repair and what not to repair. You buy something at auction and it's a dice roll. Some people might decide some things don't have to be repaired and as long as the vehicle is safe, it's buyer beware. I don't know, I just know I would not want to be in this line of business.I had a pleasant enough conversation with Roman that I fully trusted him. Like my cousin said sarcastically, "Oh, you found the one honest used card dealer"? So I didn't question things, felt like he was selling it reasonably cheap because he was just using price to compete and that seemed reasonable to me. Stupid and that's on me. To keep it brief, basically the car had cosmetic defects here and there. A couple of things like pushed in buttons. Fine. But the big one was a transmission coupling assembly that needs replacing. It's about a $3000 repair or you live with the whirring sound. So the two stars is because I think it's appropriate for any establishment in which you look people in the eye, sell them things you know have problems, and don't say anything. And because I hope I can inform at least one or two poor souls.

This dealer is unfriendly, rude, and very condescending. We went there looking at a vehicle he had on his lot with a rebuilt title and a price equal to a vehicle with a clean title. We tried to find out details of why it had rebuild title but older salesmen was just mean and full of himself. We won't go back and would strongly recommend others don't either.

Don't waste your time coming here unless you already have cash or a cashiers check from BECU as they do not offer financing of any kind despite having an application on their website.

I didn’t end up buying a car here but I had a good experience with the sales people so I decided to give a review anyway. It’s very difficult shopping for cars alone (as a woman who doesn’t know much about cars). Often I’ve found that skeezy salesmen will try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge on cars and pressure me into buying without getting it properly checked out first. At G&R no one was pushy or condescending, they definitely wanted to sell me a car but they wanted it to be on my own terms. Unfortunately the market isn’t very good for buyers right now and I wasn’t able to make the leap so someone else bought the car I liked. But they had a really good selection of Subarus, and they’ve been in the business for long enough to really know what they’re doing. I appreciated their honesty and transparency with the details of the car I was looking at, and had it been a better time in the market I would have definitely made the leap to purchase from them.

Roman was super helpful with our interest in a Toyota Rav4. He even got the oil changed right before and was very understanding towards our budget. We had a huge financial issue and he was very patient and understanding during the whole thing, he told us not to worry and to get him the money when we could, and we did. Could not be happier with the service we received from G&R auto sales, they lump the all the DOL into the total cost so all we had to do was pick up the plates. Would buy from them again.

Are you hesitating to buy from here because of some mixed reviews? You’re not alone cause I felt the same way but took a leap of faith! Upon meeting Roman, he’s actually very kind and considerate, just a straight-forward communicator (which as a young woman, was very respectful as he didn’t “***** things down or over-complicate his words to intimidate me). Tim was also quite kind and personable! He even offered his opinion on the three cars we were looking at and it wasn’t even the most expensive one. I know being a cash buyer makes the process quicker but I’d say 2 hours of reviewing all the maintenance/carfax reports, inspecting the vehicle, and test-driving it, is pretty time and energy efficient! Two thumbs up, would recommend! Thanks Roman and Tim!

In a business notorious for bad actors, Roman and Tim are the exceptions - fair, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. You will likely find the affordable used Subaru you have been searching for at G&R Auto.Roman, the owner, and Tim - chief cook and bottle washer - really know their Subarus, the good, the bad and the ugly, and they don’t buy junk to resell. They acquire a vehicle with repairable issues, fix it up professionally, and resell it at a fair price - often well under market - while making a reasonable profit for themselves. They are in this business for the long haul.In early 2022 my daughter’s old Subaru Outback was carjacked and totaled; we needed to replace her car in a terrible market for buyers. Her insurance settlement didn’t reflect the new market reality, and we were pinched. Roman and Tim at G&R solved our dilemma with a low mileage 2014 Outback with a rebuilt title. We are very pleased with the car and the fair price we paid for it.There was zero sales pressure. Tim handed us the keys and said take it out and test it as long as you like. He did not ride with us. He answered our questions honestly. The car drove straight and true. Tim shared with us the pictures of the original damage and the details of the repairs that were made. A rebuilt title will be issued in Washington only after passing an inspection of all major components performed by the Washington State Patrol.Older cars today are often ‘totaled’ by insurers when a relatively minor accident sets off multiple airbags. Airbag replacement charges at dealerships push retail repair costs out of sight.G&R does not warranty their cars; like most used car dealerships you buy the car “As Is“. But, they offer to make any future repairs on your vehicle at their wholesale shop labor rate and with the parts priced at their cost. This is a very good deal.If you are looking for a fancy showroom full of bright young salesmen who know all about sales and nothing about cars, go to a dealership; be sure to sit down before you hear the price. At G&R you can haggle if you want, but they know their prices are fair and won’t budge much unless you’ve found something they somehow missed. Why should they?If you in the market looking for a reliable used Subaru at an affordable price, we found G&R is the place to start looking. We wasted a month before we found them.

We had a really good experience buying a car here. We ended up trading in our older Subaru for a newer one. The transactions took a while due to what we were doing but Roman was great with communicating and always came through and did everything that had been promised and actually went beyond our expectations. We were a little cautious after seeing some of the negative reviews here, and yes, I could see how the owner might not make the best first impressions, but we really liked dealing with him and I would definitely buy from them again. They seem to do a lot of vehicles that have had cosmetic crash damage but clear titles. They were very up front about this and it was great for us because we got great value for money on a Subaru we really liked.
