It would be a nice branch if lead customer service employee Samira wasn't gone so often on apparent personal errands. It's unfair to the employee who must assist bank members without any help. Longer than any excuse to say they're lunch breaks. Employees stay in the office during paid work time with one lunch break. It doesn't matter if the visitor traffic is slow that day. The Kirkland branch is somewhat isolated with nobody to monitor her extended breaks. We have come to the branch, then returned later, then returned later again on different days, but often just saw the other employee who loyally said she's at lunch (again). Very unprofessional on behalf of Gesa credit union.

Wish i could give no stars. Completely dismissive of customer service or understanding. THEIR phone banking system is down and THEIR online website will not allow a payment to be made either so the only option is to call the branch and get charged $10 more for a payment. Phone banking supervisor even said that she disagrees with me when she knows it's wrong to be charging people extra for a payment when THEIR automated services are down. Did i mention i had to wait in line behind 16 callers just to talk to someone? You're better off paying high interest than dealing with these crony's. It's about the principle not about what it costs- everyone has $10 in their pocket for the most part. GESA's services are down so give customers the only option to pay $10 more to make a payment is horrendously wrong.

There is no drive up ATM, no outside ATM and no clear way of accessing any inside ATM. Overall, disappointing. This location is going out of business, I would not recommend it.

I went to the GESA Lynnwood branch yesterday to use the drive through ATM. Lo and behold the ATM was gone and there was a big sign in front of the GESA bldg that it was for lease. We didn’t know about this because GESA has never alerted their clients. We have been members of this credit union since it was the Seattle School Employees Credit Union in 1976. GESA was totally lacking in informing their clients about changes. We noticed a very bumpy transition from Inspirus to GESA. I think it is time for us to look for another credit union after 48 years.

Came in to get an authorization form for an estate of a family member passing, I was told to sign up and they would be happy to do the notary for me, that happens and I leave happy. A month goes by, I need another related form to be notarized. Apparently, they don't do that for the type of form and I should of never had the notary in the first place because that is for customers that's been with them for more than 90 days. There was no real customer service or any care when I was there today. I'm not looking for sympathy but from the customer service side that I worked in for over a decade... if you mentioned that your stressed out from a family member passing and there's no "sorry for your loss / I understand this is a tough situation" or anything that is outside of "we can't do this, try UPS." I was a new customer and was planning on using their services as an alt bank account but I had to close that down immediately. I would not recommend this bank to anyone I meet.

After the merger. This bank is horrendous. Poor customer service to day the least. Nobody knows what they are doing in there. Not sure how they are staying afloat. Closed all my accounts, was a member since Washington state employees credit union prob since the 90s. How sad what happened to this once great credit union.

I was a Member over 10 years. I sure do miss school employees credit Union. Customer service is horrendous. Nobody knows anything. Don't ever open an account or cc with them. They will not provide any information about your terms and conditions. Stay away from this place. Mergers ruined this bank.

Don't trust these people with your money if you actually ever need to get your hands on it again. maximum daily withdrawals, maximum monthly transfers. They hold on to your money and won't let it go. Worse than even the big money center banks that act like they are doing you a favor to lend your money out and make money for themselves, but don't have the temerity to actually think you can have it back when you need it. Super climb downhill from the old School Employees Credit Union

I wouldn't trust these guys to water my plants, let alone manage my finances. I spoke to three different representatives in their mortgage department who didn't even know what a payoff was, or how to send a wire. Each representative I spoke to was completely oblivious, or very rude, and they seemed to dodge all of my questions when I asked why they were giving me conflicting information. The whole thing was sketchy, I would recommend using literally any other credit union.

Cant make payments from app unless you add another bank acct…. They charge you to make a payment over the phone…..website payments only allow the exact amount of the loan…..you have to go in to make a higher payment…..customer service is a joke and they’re extremely unprepared for customer questions and concerns??♂️??♂️

I'm a big fan of regional or local credit unions over huge traditional corporate banks that have to answer to investors and prioritize stockholder profits over customers. And guess who pays for those profits. Now, credit unions like my GESA Credit Union are non-profit, have the same products at lower fees, the process to get a loan is much easier, customer service is better and personable, your money is safe and they're part of the community, not the corporation. I've had all my personal accounts with GESA CU in Lynnwood for several years and I'm a satisfied customer.

This is the worst credit union in my life. I started back with School Employees Credit Union of Washington back in the 90s. Lived through the merger with Inspirus, which was OK. Gesa is hopeless. I keep waiting for it to get better. We've been on hold for multiple hours any time we need customer service. I lost my wallet last week and they expect me to DRIVE an hour away to replace my debit card. I tried to link my PayPal account to my bank account and I can't see any of the activity - just the account summary and I tried three different browsers. But it's the weekend, so of course, no one is available. This is the last straw. They are going to be losing my business as I shift all my assets over to a different credit union. Educators deserve better than this. What an awful financial institution.

For sure one of the worst credit unions ever, they just don't have any type of quality customer service and turned a .org bank that actually had integrity into a .com that claims they're "member owned". I find this funny as everytime I asked if they'll improve their systems I was told that there's nothing they can do about it.

Come on Westsiders! Get with it! We left BECU and you should too! Better interest rates both for checking / savings as well as loans. Compare and you will see. This will be a wise choice!
