My wife needed a specific pair of shoes and staff was able to locate them within moments. She got exactly what we needed and the staff was very friendly. The minus star is for being a tad pushy on the membership program. 5 different employees tried pushing the $30 membership. They should probably back off a tad on that.

This is my go to place for my Hokas. They do have almost all types of hokas. Sometimes the size s are an issue, but they will be back available soon. Service has been always great. The staffs out here always ready to help no matter what how many times you want to try out different shoes. Value for money place. Only downside is the long lines at checkout despite 3-4 checkout counters are active. May be it's the popularity of the place!

Good service. Bike was not available on the floor, and they couldn't find it in stock.

I love REI. The Lynnwood REI is crowded with a large selection of gear for the size of the store. We did not make a purchase as we live out of the area with our own REI which is much larger with a smaller sales tax. I noticed the Lynnwood REI had a significant numbers of employees ready to help customers even on a late Friday afternoon. The store was busy.

It was snowing lightly when I arrived at approximately opening time today, Tuesday 29 November 2022, and the foot paths had been salted to help make it less slick. Entering the REI store, I started looking around to see if I could find the area with the beanies. I had checked online to make sure they had beanies in stock in-store and they did, so they would be there somewhere. I noticed the hanging sign by the stairs saying clothing upstairs so I started up the stairs. On the landing I made sure to scan the ground level and I spotted the beanies in a corner on ground level. I checked upstairs first and when I found no beanies up there, returned to ground level and perused the selection. They had a number of brands and knits with different fabric thicknesses. I liked two and pulled them down to check them out. An orange one was a few inches longer than the other, good for people with long hair if they want to put their hair in the beanie. I was buying the beanie as a Christmas gift for my aunt who maintains her hair at maybe a few inches of length. So the obvious winner was the smaller chartreuse green one, less empty space at the end of the beanie when on.Payment was straightforward, I used my co-op points ($21.98) and the final total was $22.16, so the beanie cost me $0.18 out-of-pocket. I paid with a one dollar bill and later realized I had exact change in the car, oh well. The workers were friendly and diligent.

So I go into REI to order something for instore pickup and first of all you can't pay cash when you do an online order for instore pickup. Why? I don't know so I have to buy a stupid gift card and then they use that to order the item. Lame. So I pay part cash and then the rest on my credit card and it's a card I rarely use. I specifically told the cashier that I may not have enough on there and if it doesn't go through I'll have to go to the bank and come back. I was waiting for a new debit card in the mail. She says it went through, gives me the receipt and says it should be there in about a week. I thanked her and left. It was a gift I was getting for someones birthday and so time was a factor. So I call a week later to see if it's in. REI tells me that it was canceled due to insufficient funds. I used the card after that day and apparently they don't charge the card until they fulfill the order. So you have to make sure you don't spend the money in there until the order is completed. So why didn't the cashier tell me that they just check the balance to make sure that the money is there. So I ask where is the portion I paid for the stupid gift card. (The only reason I can see that they wouldn't except cash is because they want you to buy a gift card so that your money gets trapped in their system and you either lose the gift card and they get off without having to give you anything, or you're forced to eventually use it at their stupid store.) so to make a long story short the person I was getting the gift for didn't get their gift and they sent the portion of the money that I had paid in cash for the stupid gift card to my email. Which unfortunately I didn't check, so I didn't know the whole time and then by the time I figured out what was going on what I wanted to get the person for gift was no longer in stock and now my money is trapped in a stupid REI gift card for some thing that I now I'm forced to buy that I wouldn't have bought otherwise and they've pretty much lost a customer for life. So if you buy anything from REI, don't use a gift card and if they won't accept cash get it from somewhere else. Buyer beware. I just don't understand what kind of a Mickey Mouse business gives you a receipt and says thank you very much. It'll be here on Friday and then you go to pick it up on Friday and it's not there. What a joke. If it's something you can get somewhere else I suggest you get it somewhere else because their customer service is terrible.

The prices age good at this store and salespeople are fair and do not preferentially recommend their own brand. The expertise in hiking and camping gear are much better than their competition and their return policies are currently the best in the business. If you have problems with an order, you can actually reach someone to talk to.

One of the bike dudes, Keanon was his name, was very patient while helping pick out a bike for my daughter & I. He was very engaging & didn't make us feel bad for taking our time & trying a few different bikes. Knowledgeable, professional, & all around helpful for finding the best bike for us.

Went in today (the last day of the Gear up, get out sale) to buy my 5 year old a bike. It was super busy because of the sale. The bike tech, Ryan, who was CLEARLY up to his eyeballs in bike and ski repairs and tunes, was soooo kind and stopped everything to help get my 5 year old's bike all prepped for him to ride right of the store. He was kind and patient with our many demands and just offered the best service. i had to head over to yelp to give him a huge shout out. my kiddo is SO HAPPY with his bike so big thanks to Ryan in shop services for taking time out of your busy day to help us- you're the best!

Typical REI store as part of a shopping plaza, lots of parking. The shop is stories and has its typical goods, lots of options. I came here to get some hiking shoes and the employee helping me was really friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions and my trying on shoes. Prices are a bit high but it's a well-run company and definitely worth the experience and quality of goods!
