If you go to this location, request help from Kelly! I had previously bought a Clinique foundation at another location and the color wasn't a good match. Kelly helped me find another brand and color that are a perfect match for me. I couldn't have done it without her. She's professional, personable and truly knows how to color match.

Asked the sales associate on the floor to point me towards Josie Maran facial cleanser, she looked me up and down, snarled and said "we don't carry that" and turned her back on me.

I live in a small town north of lynnwood and have not been in an Ulta store before. I usually shop at Sephardic, Macy's and Amazon. However I was in Lynnwood and needed to stock up on my Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. I also wanted to check out the Dyson hairdryer and smoothing tool. Finally I saw online that I could get my Dior matte foundation in this store. So, I decided to try and kill three birds with one stone and check out Ulta. I also just wanted to browse and see if there was anything I needed that I didn't know I needed yet. Ha. Toput it mildly, I had the weirdest... and most annoying experience. I was in the store only 3 or 4 minutes and in that time I was asked SIX times...including by the same person twice...what I needed help with. The first four times I responded "Just looking, thank you". The fifth time I tried to gently tell the person I preferred just to browse but that I kept getting interrupted. By the 6th time, I was annoyed and creeper out so I gave up and headed for the door. When I got there, there was a manager (one of the people who had asked if she could help me) standing near the door so I told her "I was asked 6 times in 3 minutes what I needed help with". Her reply: "Thats because they don't have anything to do." I said "Its too much" And she Said "They are doing a good job". Needless to say, I will stick with my current stores. I am 57, was fairly nicely dressed and carrying a tiny little purse. I do not know what a shoplifter looks like but I don't think I fit whatever that profile is. But sheesh...it was CREEPY. Made worse by being told thats what the Sales people are supposed to do.

I have always shopped at Ulta Beauty for makeup, as well as my facial products. They have stopped carrying Perricone and other products that I use. I now find no reason to continue shopping there. Very disappointed.

***Text limit prevented me from posting the full issue so I screenshot and put the issue as pictures on this thread for others to understand the whole picture. Also, there are so many other reviews about their team being rude. They all would benefit from better customer service training. The manager here refused to listen to how her rude cashier was treating my wife at checkout.....(see pics for explanation)Just to be clear this is not a color or race thing just an ignorance and flexing of power thing because we were brown, the cashier was white, and the manager was African American . So we know it has nothing to do with that or status. It has everything to do with poor customer service and the lack of math skills and ignorance to be in this industry. I also really hope that the rude cashier who was using glasses is named Christina as it showed on our receipt and not anyone else who this rude cashier happened to be logged in on Christina's account. Just review the cameras because if you do, then you'll also see the manager walking rudely in front of us right as we walked in without saying sorry or even greeting us as customers as we walked in. Not a big deal that we weren't greeted or that she almost ran into our path, but it shows that the manager couldn't hold her composure even before our check out interaction. Sure, it might be the day before thanksgiving and Black Friday so she might have been stressed, but managers should never not be stressed enough to hear a customer out about how their employees are treating guests. I'm sure that's not an ulta standard to be rude from the get go.

Overall, this location has the essentials and some higher end cosmetic and skin care solutions. Staff is usually available for help and once in awhile there is a manager or beautician that raises my eyebrow. Last week, there was a Fall Haul sale and no tags were displayed to let shoppers know that certain products were on sale. I asked the manager about it saying I only found out about it because I looked on the app. She said it was intended to be that way and there was 1 poster on the door. O...K? As a Diamond member, I have been a loyal shopper since day 1. An item I asked to return in exchange for store credit took about 20 minutes as they scrolled through each of my transaction to find the merchandise. I showed them Ulta's return policy that stated store merch would be provided in the event no receipt is provided and not shown in profile. Well, that didn't go well...the manager argued with me over and over and I kept pointing out the policy. I was exhausted and finally she said she would do it "this time only". I recommended that she not only post tags about items on sale across the store, but to also talk to corporate about the return policy if she doesn't want to comply and honor it. I do love their nail care products, lots of brands and colors, press-ons, and gels. They have a nice selection of Hollywood Fashion Secrets as well. Good location, easy parking, and clean store.

If I could give this location zero stars I would. If you are brown or any color that ain't matching a toilet stool then take your business to another location. I enjoy shopping but I hate being followed in businesses by low rate college student with outdated money piece bangs. if you are literally going to stop me in my tracks with that tone of voice you had, you must think I am d*** and never worked in customer service. meanwhile lynnwoods "finest" are walking the aisles but you are on my tail? the only redeeming factor was this pretty filipina lady helped me pick out a primer and translucent powder. she deserves a raise if she doesnt make commission, because that Lancôme powder and primer has me snatched. she rocks. sales associate with them money pieces not so much. i will give her the benefit of the doubt and just assume she is d**** but one day she will pick the wrong one to follow.
