I stopped at this location for cash withdrawal on 02/22/2022. First, when I enter the building there were 4 employees available but none of them was willing to help. They were kept pointing at each other. Finally they lead to a person who seemed to be a newer employee because she was keep asking for help. When I told her that I needed cash which was a larger amount, she started shaking her head. I got confused and asked her what was going on. She told me that they won’t be able to provide me with that amount at the moment. Now, first of all I don’t understand the purpose of utilizing a bank if I can’t have access to my money when I need it. Second, I didn’t know why she didn’t use words to explain that to me instead of shaking her head. Third, they all were unhappy to make the “order”. Everyone was keep saying " I will try to order".I was tempting to switch bank to a different institution after 10 years of business with Wafd but I stopped at the Everett location on my way home and the teller there changed everything. They were welcoming, great communication skills, and knew what they were doing.I got partial help there but I am still waiting for the amount I needed as they said they will "order" cash even though they didn’t know when would be available.A unique and beautiful day as such can be ruined by employees who lacks professionalism.02/25/2022- I appreciate for the swift response and thank you for making things right. I was reserved from giving 5 star after the correction because I believe the staff needs to improve customer service.

I wanted to like this bank as it's been a staple of the community for many years. I had opened an account and didn't have my debit card after 2 weeks, so I called and asked where it was. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes they finally answered and said that because I chose the Kraken card, it would take 3 weeks or more to receive it, but that I could go to the Lynnwood branch and have one printed instantly if I wanted to close the Kraken card and just get a regular card. When I went to the Lynnwood branch I had made an appointment online for 9AM. I walked in and none of the employees knew about my appointment, but one of them was free to help me so it was fine. I explained my situation to her and that I had decided to open a second account and would like the instant debit card and she said they could only print instant cards if your debit card was first lost or stolen. I explained that that was not what the phone employees told me. As I was trying to process this new information she kept asking me about my opening deposit. So I tried to ask if I could just transfer money online and she said no. It had to be check or cash and they would put a hold on my check. I asked about the debit card again, because I wanted to be sure I understood the policy as I was now doubting whether I wanted to even have a second account here. It was at this point that some other woman across the room blurted out "I thought we already talked about this?!" "Why is she asking about the debit card again?" It was incredibly rude. The banker went over and after they spoke for a few minutes she said she would make an exception and print me an instant card. Then the other woman came over and started talking about how they had to be careful of fraud, and how they will hold my check (I never said I had a check) etc. I asked her what her name was and introduced myself, something she neglected to do, and she told me she was the Assistant Manager. I decided the whole situation was just too rude and unhelpful, and I was now doubting whether I wanted a relationship here at all, so I said goodbye and left. If the management reads this review know this: 1) Perception is reality in customer service. This means you have think of the customer's perspective first, and show a willingness to help them. Had the employees known I had an appointment and the manager got up and come over to our desk and introduced herself and asked me questions directly, this interaction probably would have been far more positive. 2) The company (like most banks) refuses to share branch rules and policies with the phone bank team members. This inevitably leads to a misunderstanding of what the branch employees are actually allowed to do and subsequently misinformation being communicated to the customer. Had I known that the manager would have to make an exception to print an instant card, I would probably have not gone in at all, or I would have been prepared to accept the fact that I might not get one. 3) If you're going to have extended shipping times on customer cards, you need to put that on your website! Customers should know what they're getting into and have clear expectations set. Really sad, disappointing experience. I'm still not sure I want to continue doing business here. Once I actually get my debit card and are able to use the account, I'll make my decision.

I love this bank! The tellers and management are all stellar at what they do here they give me personalized help with anything I need which I really appreciate. I like to do my banking in a bank and the folks here are way better than any big bank Ive dealt with where I was just a number not an actual person like I am treated here. I feel welcome here its a great experience.

I've done my personal banking here for a year. There are constant problems with access to online services. I'm am regularly hung up on due to their crummy phone system and I constantly need to call customer (don't) care to resolve perpetual issues. I will close my personal account and use Sound CU instead. I've done my business banking there for years and have NEVER had an issue.

Well, I love this bank and I love the people who work at the Lynnwood branch. I visit four branches from Snohomish to Edmonds. Never any kind of problem. Not a one. Since the '90's, I think I have used about ten of the regulars, from, I think it was SeaFirst? to Hell's Cargo etc. Some OK, some decidedly not. None stood out. WaFed is different. I'm really well taken care of. And the vibe is good. Just doesn't seem so.....McBank, if that makes any sense. They are connected to their community in ways that we wouldn't necessarily be aware of. Locally and company wide. For example: During the Trump shut down, WaFed helped some 1800 unpaid Gov employees with a cleverly structured zero interest loan. Other financial institutions followed WaFed. There's more. So, I'm sorry to Ginger S. for her take away from Lynnwood WaFed, but that's jut not my experience. All I know is that I found the bank that I want to stay with.
