The East Whatcom Regional Resource Center is a helpful community hub offering a variety of services and resources. It provides information and referral support by phone and fax, notary services, and copies of documents. The center assists with EBT/DSHS applications, Homeless Housing applications, and employment information. Open five days a week, it hosts many activities for people of all ages, including free monthly community meals, youth meetups, and senior events. Inside, there is also a small free clothes area with baby clothes. The center offers health screenings such as hearing, vision, dental, blood pressure, and foot care, often with medical professionals present. It provides essential services like dental care, vaccines, energy assistance, and food bank access. The East Whatcom Community Council, a local board, helps guide the programs, and community members are welcome to attend meetings. In emergencies, the building may serve as a shelter. Overall, it is a caring place that works hard to help the community with good hearts and spirits.
