I tried to purchase 7 gallons of diesel fuel at $4.69 a gallon. I paid cash. The fuel came out dropped by drop, and then not at all. It took 11 minutes to get about $.60 worth of gas. I went into the store and asked if the tanks were close to empty? They responded that there was nothing wrong with the tanks, but that’s just the way the fuel came out. I said I didn’t have time to stand there and pump gas at that slow rate, and that I wanted the rest of my money refunded. The woman told me that I could not get a refund, I was stunned to learn that I would not get a refund and that I had to be captive at Maple fuels and stand at a broken pump that wouldn’t pump gas or just leave without my money. I asked her if those were my options. She said yes! I asked her to call the owner. She told me the owner was not available to contact. I told her then that she could stand out and slowly fill my gas cans and I would leave and come back for them. She said she would not do that. I started to feel trapped and taken advantage of, so I started elevating my voice and demanding payment so I could leave. She got uncomfortable that I was raising my voice.
She finally came out to the pump with me and confirmed what she knew, which was the pump was dysfunctional. She called the owner( He was reachable…imagine that!) to report I was being difficult, not that the pump was broken. While she was tattling, I reasoned with the other sweet, reasonable employee. I said “ when you pay $50.00 cash for fuel, but your tank only holds $45.00 worth, you can get $5.00 change no problem…. Why is this situation any different? It is not, she is intentionally being unreasonable. She agreed with the logic. THE POINT IS, THIS DID NOT NEED TO HAPPEN! THE PUMPS ARE CONSISTENTLY UNRELIABLE. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
IT TOOK SOOOO MUCH EFFORT TO GET MY MONEY BACK. When I finally did,
I went to Mobil down the road: Diesel is $3.85 per gallon instead of $4.69 at Maple Fuels, and it flows out of the pumps normally.

My car broke down going back home to Canada this last weekend. My best friend and I sought out help and a dry warm place to be til we could figure out what the heck to do. Crystal and Carla along with the other ladies were SOO nice and made us feel so safe and cared for. I cannot say enough good things about these ladies and the people of this community. It brought me to tears how lovely everyone was and we cannot wait to come back to this lovely town and see these amazing people again. We love you ladies!! Thank you so so much! ?❤️❤️❤️

When you want great food and good value head inside Maple fuels to their deli/restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious their Classic cheeseburgers and fries were. You get a good portion, at first the bun seems too big but it works very well with the burger and your choice of cheese. The Classic has all the fixings so it feels like your getting a cheeseburger(with a simple salad on it) and crinkle cut fries(that are amazing, I don't normally like crinkle cut, they always seem over cooked, these weren't they were delicious). You can order it how you like. I recommend for value you get the Family Meal Deal. I'm looking forward to coming back on the weekend for the biscuits and gravy. I hear it is really good and that they are made from scratch.

I have never been able to get propane tanks filled there. There "aren't enough people working" or "sorry, I'm not certified" or, today "sorry, our tank is leaking. Won't waste my time any more.

I called ahead to make sure the parts I needed were in stock and was told they were. Upon arrival that changed from "yes they're in stock" to "they may be in stock," when in fact they were not. Poor communication cost me a 30 mile drive for nothing. I went to support a local business instead of driving to a big box store in Bellingham, I won't make that mistake again.

this used to be an awesome place to get coffee and connect with others doing the same. ive been going to maple fuels since bethany was the owner and i have to say it has gone downhill. the staff (owners?) are rude and downright mean. not to mention the laundry has only 3 working machines and hasnt been swept in who knows how long. i get it closes at 7 but the clock on the wall doesnt work either. after my last encounter with a female staff i will no longer be returning. crossroads across the street has a great selection and movies. and great customer service. my review is drive on by this place. sad but true

I used to stop in here whenever I came up to ski or go camping. Never again will I step one foot on their property, let alone go into this store.Came up to ski in mid to late February and the store smelled like rotten food and sewage. But I figured, maybe it's just something they're waiting for a repair person to fix.So, I came back in here the second week in April hoping for a better experience. NOPE... the smell wasn't as bad which is good, but it was still there. The tall baldish (I say baldish because he had a hat on, that he briefly lifted to wipe a profuse amount of sweat from his forehead) man that seemed to be a manager or something was drinking on the job! He smelled strongly of alcohol and if my perception was accurate, he was a bit high on something as well. The store is stocked, but not with the things people actually want. The produce was very sad looking and the counter area was a messy cluster of what looked like trash.Just sad how the new owner just doesn't seem to care about the community he is supposed to be serving, let alone his other employees who have to work with someone who is drunk/high.I would also say to everyone in the Maple Falls community, don't shop there, shop at Crossroads! Friendly people, fresh produce and way cleaner/sanitary!!!
