RE packages and Amazon. Ok, sure there seems to be a bit of confusion at times BUT... If you use Deming they will immediately return your package to the sender AFTER you get a delivery notice. Amazon is now using delivery vans for the Glacier area BUT, they do not have gate card to the 3 community's with gates. The drivers need to be let in by the person receiving the package or they just sit there and ask people. The drivers are great but they are usually different people, so even if upper Amazon management got their free gate cards they most likely would not get them to the driver. Glacier or Maple Falls is still the best bet for actually getting packages. UPS and Fed ex have the same drivers, with cards in their vehicles and have no issues. Be kind, the system is a bit broken and overloaded.

MAPLE FALLS UNITED STATES POST OFFICE:
2 of my main issues are, 1: almost every single one of our packages appear to be tampered with as if someone wanted to see if there something in there worth a significant value. Ive been video & photo documenting this. 2: when im waiting at home for a packages that i know needs a signature & they DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME TO LET ME SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE. Instead They put a slip in the mail box that says they attempted to deliver, even though they did not because ive been here all day waiting for the package. & the slip say now i have to drive all the way to post office and pick up the package i waited here all day for that says they attempted to deliver when they did not. We'll see if this package looks tampered with tomorrow.
2 other things actually 1: ive had packages say delivered and it was delivered to the wrong house. I had to go track down the house and retrieve our package/mail. 2: people that are delivering mail & packages are using their personal vehicles. This seem odd to me. Ill add photos of the tampered with packages later ill have to find them all.

Great rural post office. Clean, organized, and efficient. The long-time manager is fantastic, and great to interact with. He will be missed, but in recent months, the new staff has also been great and highly personable.

I've tried to have multiple items delivered to my P.O. box and they are "Returned to sender" the moment they arrive. It says that all packages that don't fit in a PO box will be kept for 10 days! This is awful service.

I’ve had several occurrences where my wife or myself have orders things and there’s been NUMEROUS times I get a notification that my package is out for delivery then minutes later another one saying the package couldn’t be delivered because of some excuse. If it’s not a tiny package on a perfect sunny day the delivery driver won’t even get out the car. I have it all on camera and it sucks to know someone’s driving around with my stuff all day lying about delivering it while I’m busy working a full time job all week that has me 50+ miles away from the building they’re gonna be so generous and hold it for me at. Not to mention the mail for someone else’s house entirely that gets left on the ground infront of my mailbox I then have to go return. So who’s the real mailman here because you suck sir. Terrible customer service if I could leave a more vulgar and lower star review I would.Thanks.

I left a signed notice for a package to be delivered in my mailbox after the first attempt was a failed delivery attempt. I called Saturday morning while out of town, and the postmaster confirmed that I had indeed signed the slip and the package would be delivered. When I returned home Sunday afternoon, I received another slip stating I needed to sign for delivery AGAIN. I signed again, and left a note that said this was the second time I signed the slip. Monday evening after work, I find a passive-aggressive note that claims I never signed the first slip, and that my package was not in the mailbox.And this is just the most recent of many complaints I have with the Maple Falls post office.

"the system is garbage, we don't know were your package is" one of the employees admitted after i showed up to find the delivery myself because it was days late. Everyone working there seems miserable, lots of bickering and frustration between employees.

This post office never delivered my mail on time they only deliverer when they feel like it. I have informed delivery . I have a lot mail that I never received. This is the worst Post office that I have ever dealt with . They are not doing their job right.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. They deliver on their own schedule meaning that most of the time it's either extremely late in the day or there's no delivery at all. There's times where they don't deliver for several days at a time. They also like to deliver to the wrong address. I'd let this slide if it was only on occasion; new mailmen probably make this mistake all the time, but this happens more than it should.Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. This is the USPS creed. They definitely don't go by this. If there's even a centimeter of snow on the ground, they procrastinate like a 6 year old at the dinner table who has to eat their vegetables. Never had these issues when we got mail from the Sumas post office.
