This has to be the friendliest bank I've ever had a relationship with. I use Umpqua MV for my business, and I worked specifically with George to get started. He was professional, friendly, and warm. I've interacted with other staff as well, and I get the same experience. I'm really happy--it was a great decision to bank with Umpqua!

This is NOT a competitive bank nor a place to invest any money. After not checking estatements for a few months they started sending paper statements and charging for them. I NEVER asked for paper statements. When a CD matured I allowed it to roll over assuming the rate would be at least marginally competitive. NOT, it even dropped from .06 to .05 interest. (For comparison, current rates at other banks are ranging from 2%-4.5%) They will not budge, and are now charging me $1000 to pull my money early. Since I will still be better off even after paying the fine, I am doing so, but I will never bank with Columbia again.

We've banked here for years and have set things up for my deceased mother in laws estate and now that they've merged with other banks they don't abide by what was originally set up for us. They're rude and not one bit understanding. We'll be leaving this bank soon. There's got to be a better one some where.

I have banked with Columbia Bank for just over a year and it seems that "CASH" is treated exactly like a check. If you put in 14 One hundred dollar bills and go to use it the next day, it is on hold. The first time this happened I personally knew my branch manager and all the employees, they realized the mistake that Cash is Cash and does not get put on a HOLD. They fixed the issue on the spot and refunded any fees associated with the mistake. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN.... and with all new YOUNG people in the branch they argueD that because it was deposited through an ATM (at the branch) and although it was counted in the morning and I could see the deposit slip online, it would not be collected funds until the next business day. IT IS COLD HARD CASH FOR PETE'S SAKE!!! NO HOLD ON CASH DEPOSITS!!!
