Like others have said, great little place to grab things you forgot while camping here, and the food is really great! I saw so many compliments on the Reuben and thought, no way, it can't be THAT good...it really is!

I work at the kayak spot next door and all I can say is how fortunate and wonderful it is for Fort Flagler to have such a great shop and cafe. The little store is packed with camping supplies, a huge selection of kites (that I see flying often and look amazing), various snacks and drinks and all the souvenirs you would need. Their cafe/grill is such a hidden gem. My favorite is their reuben, though I'm a sucker for their espresso milkshake made with two shots of espresso. They have a nice little porch to eat at, or you can take their stuff to go and have a picnic overlooking Kilisut Harbor.Check in with their hours, especially in early and late season, since weather and staffing can be unpredictable out here on Marrowstone Island, but they make it a point to update everything on Google ASAP.A well-run, well-supplied stop you should definitely include during your visit to Fort Flagler.

Great local spot on amazing kite beach. Discovery pass needed for extended parking here. Café hrs are 10-3, (summer 2023) They have ice (limit one bag) and firewood, espresso, soft serve, Italian soda, and some misc camping and food supplies.

I love Fort Flagler, but especially when after a wonderful hike, I can get a delicious grilled sandwich and ice cream dessert! Coffee on a chilly day!Vegetarian options: Veggie burgersKid-friendliness: Bring a kite, or buy one! Plenty of room for kids to run around. It’s a beach hut.Long lines some days though, but worth it!Parking: Love this cool little place. It’s near the RV camping are, but tables are spread out nearby, overlooking the water. Nice hiking trails nearby. The grill closes early, but drinks, snacks and ice cream available till closing.

It's the place that has what you need when camping. Their cooked food menu is delicious and they offer all kinds of other needed things. Propane, kites, beer, ice cream cones. You can't go wrong here. My wife and I just checked out our camp sites for later this month and in the summer and everything is awesome. The Reuben is top notch, perfect balance and the dog is worth the cost of admission too. Bring the kids! Bring your appetite! Bring your thirst! Beachcomber Cafe has you covered for your camping experience out on the island.

Somewhat over priced ($8 for firewood, etc)… although it is a tourist area, so it is to be expected. The pricing didn’t bother me too much, but two of the employees were quite rude. While waiting near the pickup window for our order, I was reading the park information they had posted on the pickup window (including QR codes). One employee asked if I was waiting for something, and I told them we were waiting for a food order. Then a couple minutes later, another employee snapped at me and told me to get away fromThe window and it would be awhile. I apologized, and said I’m sorry, I was just reading the info on your window. An employee took the QR codes down and posted them on another area of the wall, as she walked away I mentioned to her that the sign was upside down, and she snapped at me that she wasn’t done and asked if I wanted to do it.A convenient location while camping, but I would not return.

For four years I have eaten at this cafe. Each time the food is delicious and cooked with care. Currently (July 2022) the grill is open 10 am to 3 pm. If you think the prices are rather high, it is expensive to operate a cafe. (Details end of review, if you're interested.) The veggie burger has purple onions cooked on the grill so they are actually sweet. My son liked his chicken sandwich. The quality of the food is consistently good. Their new Oreo milkshake costs as much as one from Baskin Robbins, but tastes better. The sun and warm breeze off the water are relaxing in ways not many things are. The weathered wooden deck has a large picnic table, three plastic chairs, and two deluxe cozy as can be elevated ones with a smaller circular laminate table. Dogs are welcome. Every single child is welcome to play with the Lego ship. "This is the captains area." "It's a private ship and this is the treasure!" "Should food go in here?" "That's where I was going to put the treasure but, OK." At the other end of the picnic table a grandfather is supervising a game if oversized checkers. He encourages the kids to play horseshoes. There are two other picnic benches off of the deck so people can spread out. ---- Here are details as to why food costs what it does. I worked over ten years in a tourist town in food service on the East coast. $ long haul shipping of goods $ assembling the soft serve ice cream machine $ short cook prep work before opening $ closing checklist including cleaning grill / dishes $ detailed inventory of sundries $ management of many vendors in addition to food (Postcards, mugs, clothing with local logo) $ quality staff, two people on shift I look forward to going here again.

Open 10AM - 6PM; Grill 11AM - 3PM.Unfortunately, for early risers on chilly, foggy days, you’ll need to drive out of the campgrounds for coffee/breakfast.(Wish there was just a window open with a thermos of coffee + fixins’ while the owners got the store ready for a full opening.)If you’re able to stay around, the cafe is right next to a kayak rental business and a playground, all with fantastic bay views.

This place is a hidden gem in Fort Flagler State Park on the north end of Marrowstone Island. Maj-Britt Peacock (and her husband Jim) have built this park concession up over the last 15+ years. Its a great little place to grab a burger or dog for lunch. They also have espresso, soft ice cream, drinks and more. Breezy day? Grab a kite and have fun with the kids or just sit and play with their lego's and enjoy an ice cream. If you've never been out to Flagler, its just a short drive from Port Townsend and a nice drive up the Island. Enjoy the views of Port Townsend across the bay or spend the day on the beach. Handicap passes enter the park for free (I don't see passes on cars spending an hour in the park but a day pass is recommended to spend the day on the beach).Help support this little gem run by hard working people.

We were there several days ago. We had a big order, and the two ladies working were incredibly rude. They made me feel like I shouldn't even place my order because it would be too much for them. The guy at the grill was great! He was very kind and helpful. When they got my sister's order wrong, she simply asked for cheese to be added (the guy at the grill had confirmed with my sister that she wanted it), they took out the receipt and tried to prove she didn't order it. The lady at the register showed her frustration very clearly when we ordered. The food is GREAT! I think they just cannot handle the capacity of people they get. If you're in the park, and can patiently wait about 30 minutes, it's worth a try. But don't go out of your way to go here. Leaving there I felt like I had completely put them out and it wasn't a good feeling.

Meh, mediocre food, cramped store, limited seating even on a Monday. The proprietors can step it up, seeing as how it's earning in summer.

The burgers / chicken can take about 20 minutes so enjoy your time and relax while you wait. The views are amazing!

The lady was impatient in-person and on the phone. The line was long and the order was slow. Some people are just not fit for the service sector.

My husband goes here almost every weekend for ice cream. He goes every Sat and takes my daughter when she is home from college. Today we went as a family. We usually have good service. and their food is good too. Today we placed an order for ice cream and some grilled cheese sandwiches. We got our ice cream fast and the young man that took our order was really nice. After that the visit went downhill. We had already waited for at least 30 minutes for our grilled cheese. They called a ticket number and it was for the guy who placed an order for a grilled cheese sandwich right before us so we thought we would be up next. I went to the window and the lady asked if I was waiting on an order. I said yes and gave her my name. She said we were 4 behind and it would be another 30 minutes. I asked if I could get a refund because I couldn't wait that long because my daughter had to go to work. She went to the back and told the main lady that runs the place that I wanted a refund. She shouted good they can go to McDonalds. I felt this was uncalled for. They could have just said sorry for the wait and have been nice about it. My husband said he will have to rethink about going there again. I was as nice as I could be. Usually when someone places an order they do the orders in the order they are taken. When I was leaving the was a couple that ordered after us and they were being handed their food. When I was standing close to the window I could hear yelling. I felt sorry for the ones working back there with her.
