We love this store for their excellent customer service and pet food supples. They also have a frequent buyer program that earns discounts on the food we buy.Our cats love Steve’s raw cat food and N&D kibble. One visit in October (guessing, it was years ago) they had a pet trick or treat set up outside and vendors handed out samples. It was fun! That cats appreciated it very much when we got home and surprised them with their new options.

Hands down, the best pet store North of Seattle. Over the past two years, we've frequented Julz anywhere from 1-4 times a week. The store is always clean and well-stocked. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Perhaps most importantly, they have always treated my pup the same way I treat her; like family. I can't recommend Julz enough and would urge others to support this awesome local business.

I would check no stars if available. My long time and trusted vet was out of the office the day I stopped in for a quick suggestion to help calm my small dog's chronic gun shy behavior. His tech suggested I go to Julz for a product to will help with my dog's anxiety symptoms. So I purchased Julz suggested product, a product I had no prior experience with. But hey, I was trusting the tech's expertise who is also in the dog breeding business so she must have a keen knowledge about dog's behavior. Shame on me, I did not research the product nor the retailer. I did give my dog the product for 5 days and noted no relief. Researching this further, I discovered to my shock and disappointment, I was overcharged, bilked 70% for this item. No refunds clearly stated on receipt. We love our pets and willingly provide for their every need and not necessarily at whatever cost that may be. I suggest owners move on from Julz highly inflated prices.

*Buyers Beware* of buying product from Julz Animal Houz - fairly convoluted rules about returns and bad customer serviceI started coming to this store last year. I have a picky eater pup and I expressed that concern to Julz on day 1 that I was struggling to find products that my pups would eat . I mentioned, there is a pretty good chance my pup won't like the food and ask about their return policy. They said "even if the bag is half gone just bring it back for a refund or exchange. All we need is the barcode to scan so we can get credited from the supplier". My boyfriend and I purchased lots of dog foods, dog treats, and food toppers Throughout the year. Every time I needed to exchange or return, there was an excuse or a new policy that was never disclosed before. Every time they needed to ask their manager and the manager was not available. The very worst customer service I have ever received. My last experience with them, I spoke with the store manager and she didn't care that I did not see a return policy BEFORE the time of purchase. She was yelling the whole time and acting offensive. I don't get this kind of behavior as I have been in retail for well over 10 years and never treated a customer like that. So, I learned very quickly, that even though I am a frequent customer, when it comes to exchange, the service is non existing - I ended up taking the dog food and the items back home and disposed it. This business has no posted refund policies. Your policy has to be clearly and visibly disclosed to the client BEFORE the time of purchase. A return policy printed on a receipt, but not posted in the store, is not appropriate, as we would be unable to access it before the purchase. You cannot misrepresent the return policy and fail to honor it after the sale!!!*****So here are some of their policies you should be aware of: ***** For a full refund, you must return the item within 10 days, in its packaging and must be over half full. And after that is 30 days and they claim they will exchange it for you. ***** But wait there is more ****** this doesn't apply to Everything in the store. They will only return or exchange on items where the supplier has the "money back guarantee" where they can be sure they get their money back. How would you know? You don't ! you'll find out when is too late and you have already purchased the item. Also, they do not return or exchange dog treats, chews, food toppers and many more things that I am unaware of , because none of these little details are displayed in store or explained to me in person by their employees unless you want to return something and that's when you learn their convoluted rules. I have attempted to do returns maybe a total of 3 times max and only one time I was successful and that 1 time I have to come back twice! Apparently they flag you, if you have returned more than 3 times and after that you cannot return or exchange ANYTHING, period! How do I know that? I didn't until the manager explained it to me while screaming at me on the phone after refusing to do a return . A return which was done within 10 days and with a receipt. She basically said, from now on you must be 100% sure of what you are buying because we are not doing any return or exchange for you! *Note*: Customers want transparency and this new system policy is targeting people using a valid return mechanism. This is not transparent and not properly communicated to customers at the store. Buyers beware! Take your business where they honor their published return policies, instead of applying purchase rules that are neither transparent to the customer nor the retail outlet.*** Absolutely agree with previous comments about their bad business practices and awful customer service. Please read the owner's responses to those who don't agree with their business handling. They feel almost entitled to be rude and hostile. To Julz -- Take some classes and learn about customer service etiquettes, how to speak politely, how to offer help in a timely man

I wanted to support a local store and I have spent several hundred dollars buying from this store. Today I tried to return a dog food my dog did not like. I was always told this would not be a problem. Well it was a problem. It seems that there is a 10 day rule. I did not even get it out until after that date. This was not an empty bag but a bag that was missing maybe a cup of food. So I will go back to supporting big business and never buy from them again. I hope they appreciate that they lost a customer for several years.

I will admit that I was a little stubborn about going to Julz, just because the location is a pain to get to. After I got over my initial stubbornness, I stopped shopping for pet supplies anywhere else. I have been shopping at Julz for 5 years, and of course, the staff has changed over the years, but the store hasn't changed all that much except for the addition of the raw food section (which is refreshing to see in pet stores these days). I have spoken with the store owner or store manager, and she is very nice and willing to provide information on any product or place a special order for anything you might need. I really love this store, and so does my pet! P.S. Pro tip: the pet wash stations close at 5 pm every day. Try to get there at least by 4/4:30 pm to allow time to wash and dry your pet.

I cannot say enough good things about Julz!! They have a great selection of raw, high quality and limited ingredient options for pets. I’m a local pet sitter and able to meet the needs of even my highest maintenance dogs with their selection. Items can be pricer than you see lower quality pet food but I promise when you see how happy and healthy your pup is, it’s worth it!! My senior dog loves the Fromm brand of wet food and it really helps on days he has less appetite. Wonderful staff and a small business you want to support!

It was a great place to take your dog for the self dog wash station- but went in today and was told prices went up- first I’m thinking ok - that’s normal- but holy cow- $40 for self dog wash- but $20 if you spend enough money in the store! Which I usually do find other doggy treats - but Seriously- no thank you!

Huge selection of pet goods and a great washing tub. Our black lab is a PITA but everyone there was very helpful. Lots of different shampoos and conditioners for sensitive skin and special needs pets too, ours didn't need anything special but he left completely dry and more clean than ever. He wasn't too happy with the deep clean (bird dog in the woods all day) but their setup was perfect.
