The pool is dominated by the higher income families who can afford swim lessons for their children making it so that lower income families cannot use the pool during the week. No wonder it is so easy for them to get donations from these people. Their kids are using the pool full time while the lower income families get what is left over. Most adults work till 4pm! The swim team has it from 4-7 every weekday. Way to go to YMCA reaching the higher income community YMCA- Some people really need a low impact exercise and we are not all high income!!!!

I wrote a negative review of the YMCA years ago and am banned from the Marysville Branch. In my review I said the staff was nice except for Amanda, and that the Marysville Y has trouble keeping staff because of her management style. They banned me for that

The staff are amazing, but the facilities, equipment, and amenities are oldest and lamest in Snohomish County. It really needs revamped.

I while the staff here are great I feel like this YMCA gets basically neglected by the poor management that is the greater YMCA of Snohomish Co.Machines/weights haven't been up updated and are old compared to the other branches and those that have are quickly beat up. Lots of broken equipment that never gets fixed. Also seem to acquire plenty of useless hand cycles and recumbent bikes that you really can't get a work out on and just take up floor space (maybe the other branches didn't want them?)Hand towels still haven't come back after covid and the Y has been cutting back on fitness classes (Apparently now Saturday Yoga is getting the axe?? Booo)Is all this worth a premium $78 a month???

I absolutely love going to this YMCA! Definitelly an older facility--- but I grew up with it, and it was a staple of my childhood. Staff is also really friendly and personable!

I love the Marysville Y! The staff is amazing and they really care. I love taking all the group classes - barre, cycle, yoga, TRX, weight lifting, and more. It’s a great value for the price, classes anywhere else would cost triple the price! They’re always having fun giveaways and contests to keep people motivated. I always leave the Y feeling great! My only regret is not joining sooner. :)

Facility is dated and old compared to the other ymca’s. Needs updated gym equipment and major renovations, hoping they plan on remodeling in the future.. Great staff, basketball court and kid zone!

Certain staff very condescending, and rude. Staff does not properly inform patrons what they need to bring in order to swim. Lied about open swim hours. Had none of these issues last time we went. Won’t be back.

I love this YMCA. Great amenities, clean equipment, and great staff; however, I will share I wish they had more control over kids in the fitness center. There are times I go in and there are young kids on the equipment, which seems to be 1. Unsafe; and 2. Leaves limited options for adults who want to use the cardio/weights.

I am a new Y member and have been participating in Water Fitness for 8 weeks. Teresa is the perfect instructor for our class, which is mostly older folks, many working on recovering from medical issues and surgery. Teresa makes the class work for us all. It's so inspiring to watch and participate in the class, everyone supporting one another, and a great instructor.

This gym is more like a retirement home then a gym you walk in and there 90% senior citizens and that's fine I respect my elders as much as the next guy, but there are younger people that pay for and use this gym also it would be great if our needs can also be met. It use to be better because it had the weight room separated from cardio room so strength trainers had there space and so did cardio folks. The wise folks at the Y decided that the weight training room would be better as a cardio class room so now they have two cardio class spaces and no weight room the weight room is now in the same space as the old cardio room. They literally just squeezed all the equipment into the cardio space so they have more room for those lovely cardio classes and the place is geared completely to older folks and there classes. It is very unfortunate because I love the Y I have a family membership and also pay for my parents membership. I strength train and am constantly being approached to make less noise while lifting or do not drop the bumper weights because your disturbing other people with the noise of the bumper weight hitting the pad and I have been going there for going on 3 yrs and always done the same exact work out and had no issue until they decided to combine the rooms. I really hope the Y can sort it out so I don't have to find another gym because I remember the old days and it was a great gym for everybody!

Rookie Sports program is a complete scam. They collect fees for your child to participate in the program and then they bombard you with numerous emails asking you to volunteer. Why do I need to pay YMCA to coach my child? when volunteer coaches are unavailable you are asked to volunteer again. Coaches come to the practices sick. YMCA encourages coaches to ask parents to bring snacks to share. So, after your child spend 30 minutes on the field, they are offered junk food.

So these guys have been charging my dads credit card since December despite not having a membership. They DO NOT EVER answer the phone or return calls. It is absolutely impossible to get ahold of anybody at this location at anytime. I tried calling the financial director and was transferred to yet another message about having my call returned. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would say do not, do not, do not go there or join or sign up for swim lessons. That is what my dad is being charged for. The lessons ended LAST YEAR and he is still being charged.

Nice, clean pool. Hot tub is nice. Locker rooms are clean & spacious. This is a no frills pool which is ok for bringing my daughter who loves water...wish there was a lazy river. Nice staff.
