I would give a half star or less if it was available., My dog was sick 2 weeks ago, they put in an exam room, completely forgot we were there, after 45 minutes I had to go find someone to remind them we were even there, the medicine they prescribed didn't do much, they didn't much of an exam (took his temp and not much more), and if they would have done a through exam, they could have found out he a more serious medical issue.

We have been taking our dog and two cats to VCA for the last few years. I have to say, overall our experiences have been good. The staff are welcoming and helpful, as well as understanding when it comes to our sweet dog, Max, who gets very nervous. That being said, we took Max in today to have his ear looked at and the bedside manner of the vet was awful. I felt like she was talking down to us, I felt like she was very standoff ish, and when I asked for a printout of each of the costs of the procedures she had explained to us, she literally rolled her eyes and walked out of the room.We have always given our pets the best care possible, they are part of our family. I thought that VCA was the vet that I could trust and feel like they care about our animals as much as we do. I no longer feel this way. By the end of the visit, I had to leave the room because I felt so hurt by this vet’s behavior.I won’t be taking any of my animals back here. If a veterinarian doesn’t have compassion during an initial visit, I surely won’t be scheduling an invasive surgery with them.I feel let down, I was and still am worried about my dog. This veterinarian made me feel as though we were burdening her with our visit. I will be looking for a new family vet.

Came here to get my new adoption cat checked out and had received a coupon for $20 off my appointment. I have been a VCA client with my dogs for the past 13 years. My husband usually brings the animals in, but I had to go in. I was not greeted when I entered and I noticed the receptionists were busy having their own conversation. It was about 5 minutes later that I was finally asked why I was there. The vet tech and vet were both amazing. I asked the vet tech if my coupon was going to be valid and she said yes. But when I went to check out, Heidi the cashier was very rude and very dismissive of my coupon. Had I known it wasn't going to be accepted, I would have just taken my cat elsewhere, but I chose VCA because my dogs are seen there and I like the vets and techs.I did call later on in the day to speak with a manager, but none were available. Brenda was kind enough to refund $20 retroactively in lieu of the coupon. I did call around to other vets in the area and they all charge exorbitantly unfortunately.

I have a rare breed Japanese Chin not many DVM are familiar with so many times I have had to do my own research if they don't have the answers.I would say all the DVM I have meet have been pleasant my dogs were fine with them. My only issue is price point for surgical care. I had to shop around for neutering my GSD. Will have to do that for dentals for the JCs.

Our dog occasionally gets ear infections and we simply wanted the prescription ear medicine. They tried to sell us a very expensive treatment plan instead. We went to our previous vet in mount vernon who made it very simple, easy and effective without high pressure selling treatment plans.

If I could give 0 stars, that wouldn’t even suffice, this place deserves to be in the negatives. This is the worst veterinary hospital ever. The vets here are 100% incompetent. My dog was perfectly healthy with a slight limp that she developed after a week of intense running, that I was concerned about. The vet, Tiffany, was 100% incompetent and prescribed my 7lb dog a half a pill of 25mg carprofen. My dog got so sick, and has non stop been throwing up. Before coming to this awful place my dog was completely happy, expressed no type of pain, and was running around. After this visit and taking carprofen just 1 time she is so lethargic and sick. These vets do not care about the betterment of animals and are only here to milk money out of peoples pockets. Not only did she prescribe my dog the incorrect medication, but also Tiffany was so horrible and tried to examine my dogs leg by purposely inflicting pain and then saying my dog was in pain. She is so incompetent, I’m surprised this office hired her! I need a refund, and I need Tiffany to pay my vet bills after putting my dog at risk!! I’m disgusted of her and the people who work here!

We have been bringing our cats here for decades. Absolutely love all of the staff, technicians and doctors. They treat our cats as if they were their own. I highly recommend this vet facility.

Unpleasant experience- the vets attitude and mannerisms were extremely off putting- didn't smile once, came in with an attitude of pet-owner shaming for no reason, no sense of warmth or compassion for our dog. Was more interested in shaming and pushing for vaccines our dog might be behind on rather than the issue we came in for. Glared at my husband and I when our dog was acting anxious and nervous when she came in the room- like she's never experienced an anxious dog at the vet before. Weird interaction and vibe overall.

Two out of three veterinarians I've visited with my animals had been a good experience. My third experience, I absolutely have to question the competence of that vet and wonder more about the morals of the VCA establishment...as in how closely do these vets actually follow their "Veterinarian's Oath"?This veterinarian called for an ultrasound, x-rays and full panel of blood work equaling to about 1000$ right then and there. The condition of my dog was very dire but what was ordered seemed/felt VERY unnecessary! I took my dog elsewhere the following morning. At the other clinic it was concluded that what my dog needed was assistance in a comfortable passing. The VCA veterinarian's "testing" would have been completely useless for my dog, while also prolonging painful suffering, as well as an addition to being completely wasteful of my financials.Edit: After receiving a reply from VCA, a very low level of satisfaction resolve was made. To be clear it absolutely does not make up for their veterinarians lack of competence to make a professional & very needed call on my pet's well being. I expect every veterinarian I go to, too put forth full honesty! Unfortunately with my dog's case it felt more like profit had been placed over quality of life.

We've made this our regular clinic. Always treated with respect and kindness and I know our animals receive the best care.
