Freestone Inn & Cabins is a beautiful and well-maintained resort located near hiking trails and a scenic lake. The setting offers amazing views, especially over the lake, making it a perfect place for special events like weddings, which many guests have found to be wonderful and memorable. The rooms are clean and private, with some featuring fireplaces, large spaces, and wraparound balconies. Guests enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, which is actually hot, and appreciate the quiet, natural surroundings that encourage being present and away from technology. The inn has convenient amenities such as a hot tub, a creek on the property, and trails for hiking right in the backyard. Visitors have enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful scenery, and the fun outdoor activities nearby. However, some aspects could be improved. The WiFi reception is poor, and the restaurant on-site was often closed, requiring guests to go to nearby towns for meals. The breakfast options are limited, with some guests choosing to visit local bakeries instead. Some guests experienced issues with the beds, finding them too soft and lacking support, and the showers had poor water pressure and hot water problems, which caused frustration. Despite these drawbacks, many still felt the inn has great potential and would recommend it for its stunning location and natural beauty. The staff and event coordinators, especially those involved in weddings, received high praise for making special days run smoothly. Overall, Freestone Inn & Cabins is a charming and safe place to enjoy outdoor activities, relaxation, and special occasions amidst the scenic North Cascades.
I stayed for 4 nights (party of 4) and booked a 2 bd suite.. it was delightful! Being able to ski right off the patio on to the trails, the scenery was wonderful. The suite was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals. The bed was comfortable as well. Overall freestone is one of favorite places to stay.
