We have really enjoyed Hidden Acres for several years. We love supporting small and local. We visited Hidden Acres Orchard today with our kids to pick apples. I stopped in at the gift shop to ask for instructions on picking and if there was anywhere we needed to avoid. We've been to farms where certain varieties aren't for public picking. The employee said that we were free to pick anywhere. We started wandering through the first rows we could find and trying to find markers for the apple varieties. I realized that we were hearing yelling and stopped. I was just a few feet away from our kids who were mostly picking apples up off the ground. My 10-year old daughter found a sign face down in the dirt and when she was putting it back up we realized it said "Do not pick," which is why I hadn’t seen the sign originally when I walked by the tree. We felt terrible, but the owner was already yelling at the kids. Including, "What the f*%k." The kids were scared and dropped the apples on the ground to which caused more yelling from the owner. I tried to apologize and explain I had asked for instructions and we couldn't see the sign, but his response was just accusing us of not watching our kids and letting them run around wherever. Well, no they were definitely in one unfortunate spot and we were close by. It was an honest mistake. He continued to stare at us and tell us how upset he was as we left. My daughters broke into tears and never want to go to Greenbluff ever again. My daughter tried to apologize and even fixed his sign for him, but he just kept yelling. It was quite a shock and we wanted to warn others. We tried to empathize and it would have been great to have had a conversation. My kids are sad that we won't be back to one of my family's favorite farms, but I’m thankful there are many wonderful farms on Greenbluff to visit.

Loved the place! Could have used bigger signs for the different fruits and where to get the boxes for the apples though. Definitely would go back again though

We like this one better than some of the bigger, fancier farms...

The littles had a blast, the only thing really missing is a corn maze with a gunny sack slide. Lovely gift shop and cute playground.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a farm on Green Bluff. The owner was incredibly rude, he has absolutely no business working with the public, let alone children. When the school decides to round up their (very well behaved) students, 15 minutes into a planned and paid for field trip, because he is so hostile, you know it's bad!

Absolutely stay away from this ranch for field trips. The owner was so incredibly rude to us and told us that we need to stay out of his way and that this field trip was going to end very badly for us if we did not follow his directions. This all occurred because we were not lined up on the correct side of the cones by the bathrooms, unaware that we were supposed to line up on the other side. He told me that when he gives directions he’s not asking, he is telling and expects me to listen. Again, we must have misunderstood him. He absolutely caused distress amongst our entire group and was so unprofessional and rude. I will never come back to that ranch for any reason, whatsoever. Luckily, Walter’s Ranch across the road welcome us when we loaded up our bus and decided to take the kids somewhere else after getting a refund from hidden acres and deciding to move our entire group.

The overall staff was friendly, except the owner. Super odd behavior with customers. Witnessed and heard him argue with a customer about climbing trees… yes you obviously shouldn’t climb the tree.. but he was lecturing the family member who wasn’t climbing the tree. I heard the girl climbing the tree was very apologetic and looked young maybe early 20s. Went on about his experience with the trees for 25 years to lecture someone who was just watching kids. On the ground. Obvious unresolved anger issues

Such a great time with the family. Picking apples, making cider, and feeding the animals. Nick was great help and just felt like we were at a friend's farm. Gift shop had so much cool stuff and smelled great with baked goods.
