Good for candy and chips! Convenient location and stocks items well. Not a grocery store.

Lose years off your life waiting in line for this pharmacy. Not from stress or from unfriendly pharmacists, just... from... waiting.......

I quit going here a couple years ago for various reasons. Today I was desperate and ran in to get one quick thing. The line was very long (one of the reasons I quit coming) and when a new cashier finally came, it was, of course, the one that made me quit coming (another reason). I watched him treat the two people ahead of me rudely and then I got to experience it again. Clearly this guy needs to get out of retail. He can't say hello (even when you say it to him and try to be nice), treats you like you are bothering him by being there and doesn't respond to a thank you. Seriously never going back in this store. And I'd be happy to give more info to a manager if they want to follow up, but based on the bad reviews across the internet, the manager doesn't care.

If possible, I'd like to give them zero star!! The medications for my kid from ER have been delayed for a day and a half. My kid is suffering at home because they keep postponing it. Finally, they suggested we go to another pharmacy. The most ridiculous part is they gave us a list of pharmacies and asked us to call each one ourselves. Is this really reasonable?! They occupy the most central position on the island but their lack of action is truly infuriating.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Waited over 30 min on hold on the phone twice and still nobody ever picked up.

Definitely understaffed at times, but I must say these blokes do a proper job of taking care of everyone, treating people like human beings and such. Funny story, I once caused a bit of a stir, accusing them of having shorted me on a prescription. They kindly offered to let me see the security cam footage! Turned out I was mistaken. Loved how professional and customer-oriented they were about it.Of course everyone leaving a review here has some grievance. But having been here 10+ times, I find the staff unusually kind and solution-oriented. So 5/5

I wish I had something positive to say about this store. Alas...I'll post this to share my thoughts with management. Please take them to heart. Don't dare go near the prescription counter. For whatever reason, there's always more clueless customers here, trying to convince the poor employee that they should be able to get something for free, or their insurance is still valid, etc etc. I can't recommend dropping off FedEx packages at the photo department, either. Every time I've had to wait for an employee to show up, and then I get attitude when I'm being properly polite. All I'm asking with a smile is for an employee to scan the package and either email or print a receipt. Most of the time I get attitude and questions like "You know this isn't going to go out until Monday, right?" I can feel she's had to deal with countless horrible customers, but still hell - I'm just asking for something simple with a smile. What prompted this review is I was out of an allergy spray and the delivery wasn't coming for a few days, so I thought I'd pop in and grab one here. They didn't have the one I wanted, but the larger version was available at twice the price. Either way, they were both locked up, meaning I'd have to find, wait for, and generally put up with an employee from this store. Instead, I walked out to my car, pulled up the Amazon app, and ordered one for next day delivery. I'd rather deal with my allergies for another day that interact with anybody other than the cashier at this store. I understand there's a massive problem with shrinkage now, but there has to be a better way. If Walgreens doesn't figure it out, another store will and they'll get my business. Between Amazon.com, Amazon Pharmacy, and Alto Pharmacy, there's almost zero reason to step foot in a drugstore for me.

Something is wrong with this pharmacy. They are always backed up. They always require two visits and referrals are never pre prepared

Nice Walgreens, if you've been to one, expect this one to be like it mostly...

Five open business days to fill one of the most commonly prescribed medications. This is the final straw relative to the ongoing negative experiences with the Mercer Island Walgreens Pharmacy Submitting a formal written complaint to the WA State Pharmacy Board. Have also filed a verbal complaint with Walgreens Corporate, including the area District Manager. If you cannot adequately staff the pharmacy, close until you can. You are literally putting people's lives and welfare at risk . l

UPDATE 11/26/23 I don't go to this store anymore for the reasons I listed previously, but my 86 year-old mother does because she doesn't drive and Rite Aid is too far for her to walk. She went to pick up her prescription today but only the drive through window was open. So she stood in line between the cars and when she got to the window the employee told her that the line was for cars only. She explained that she doesn't drive or even own a car, but the person still told her that she had to be in her car and kept shouting at her, "Where is your car? Go get in your car!" After pleading her case and several back-and-forths, the person finally agreed to check her out but rudely shouted, "WHAT. IS. YOUR. NAME!?" In the end she got her prescription but this is completely unacceptable that she be treated this way and dangerous that the only way she could get her prescription was to stand between the cars in line! AVOID THIS PHARMACY!!!

I'd give 0 stars if I could, particularly because of last two, consecutive experiences with the Pharmacy department. Most recently, they refused to vend my prescriptions even after I received both text messages and automated telephone notifications from Walgreens that my two medications is ready for pickup. Even after I showed them the notifications, they said that their system must have made a mistake. In an earlier visit, they refused to take back a reader device that my wife had picked up on my behalf. I told them that my wife was not asked to check what she was receiving, and when I told them I should consider going to another store, they nonchalantly said that a Rite-Aid is right down the street. No apologies for the lousy customer service, and no interest to retain a customer. Unbelievable! I contacted the general number and logged a complaint, and never heard back.

After calling in a prescription 3 days ago it is finally ready after coming in each day saying the end of the day.Prior to this I had another medication that was for my husbands surgery and was told they didn’t have it. The lady with the hair with red braids in it didn’t want to help all she said we don’t have it while throwing her hands around and getting nasty to about. You’re in customer service. This is by far the worst place to come, do yourself a favor and go to rite aid. No only did they have it done within an hour they were nice!

Relatively clean but I have had negative experiences with the pharmacy and the cashier Laura is always super rude. Whenever I try to pay in cash she mutters something about unfolding them or how I place them. Very rude.
