I highly recommend filing your taxes with Nabiha Elsisy. I’ve worked with a handful of H&R Block advisors before but never had as good of an experience as I had working with Nabiha. Not only was she very knowledgeable, she was extremely nice and lighthearted which eased the stress of filing my complicated taxes.

Becky was EXTREMELY RUDE. I was sent over to talk with her from a different location because she knows about California tax stuff more than who I was with. She right away told me to take it up with the California tax board. Didn’t answer one question of mine. Looking at other reviews seems this is a reoccurring problem.

Highly recommend Nabiha Elsisy. My wife and I have been going to her for 5 years now. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality. A couple of years ago I had complicated taxes and Nabiha took care of it with no problems! Even though we now live in Tennessee, Nabiha still works with us over the phone.

I went in to file my 2022 returns. It was the first time I’d filed after some investment property purchases so I didn’t feel comfortable doing it myself. I was introduced to Becky, who spent more time complaining about how HR Block works and their transition to on line work than she did actually evaluating my return. After several months, my return was finally ready, she said I owed 3k or something and we filed.
Fast forward to 2023. Not wanting to go through that process with them again, I found an independent CPA and had him do my taxes. He asked for my 2022 as a road map and immediately found mistakes. To the tune of 3500.00 in my favor. So we filed a 1040x and I’m now getting all my money back from the IRS plus interest.
I remember that HR block had a 100% accuracy guarantee… (they lie) so I went back to them and asked for a refund for the 2500 I paid them for my 2022 return. After some back and forth their response was, “we do not have to refund you because you had a third party discover our mistake. Had you identified it on your own or one of our tax professionals had found it, then you’d be entitled to a refund. But here’s 20% off your 2024 filing if you’ll come back to us.”
1) like anyone there would tell me they were inaccurate…
2) if I knew enough to discover it myself I wouldn’t need an accountant.
In short, HR Block is unprofessional, and does not stand behind their work. I wouldn’t trust them to accurately file a 1040EZ. Let alone a 1120.
Avoid them. They suck.

Lisa was exceptional and caring! She managed many clients waiting to get their tax done on their busiest day —the dreaded last day of the tax deadline.
She checked with me regularly to ensure I am getting the necessary support and constantly updated me on status. She went beyond to assist me in checking if my extension was accepted by irs or not.
