The Monroe Library is part of the Sno-Isle Libraries district in the beautiful North Puget Sound region of Washington state. Sno-Isle Libraries serves over 800,000 residents across Snohomish and Island counties through 23 community libraries, online resources, and Library on Wheels. Whether you're seeking a captivating story, new skills, or digital tools, the library offers something for everyone. Explore books and movies; attend events; access online learning; use computers and printers; or borrow a laptop and Wi-Fi hotspot. All free with your library card. The mission is to engage and inspire communities through equitable access to knowledge and resources. Sno-Isle Libraries is the place to connect, create, and innovate. The library has a great children's section with plenty for kids to play, explore, and learn. While it can get noisy, the overall vibe is great. The library provides excellent internet service, and the staff are lovely. There are a few areas that could use improvement, such as keeping the quiet area free of smelly feet, and staying open later in the evenings. Overall, it is a nice library with plenty of seating, vending machines, and a small study room available.
The library was way cooler than we thought lol! We got a little lost and asked a librarian (I think his name was Russell?). He was super nice and explained the number system to my kiddos. We left with a stack of books and movies…. Thanks Monroe Library!
