The Drive-up and Go team is amazing. So cheerful and friendly, they create a joyful atmosphere and my kids love them. It is fun to see the team each week. They are hardworking and diligent. I never have any issues with my orders, they pick out great produce, which hasn't historically been the case for me. They will pick out the deals for me too, if I don't readily see them, e.g. buy-one get-one-free. I feel they are looking out for me, and that they genuinely care about me as a person. The orders are always done in advance of the scheduled time, and on or under budget. The substitutions are great and always delivered quickly to me, and if there is any question they contact me immediately. I have been using them for years and I absolutely love the service and the team. Meagan, Amanda, and Gabi, are so great! But so is everyone there. You will love these guys and how they make you feel! Watching them interact with others, I can tell you it is not just me who loves them and their amazing work ethic and cheerful personalities. I look forward to seeing them each week.🙌😁 Thanks ladies!!!!

NOT the Safeway itself, it's the Chinese food at the deli. Mongolian beef had the texture of rubber. Fried rice tastes like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. It was also VERY dry!! Pot stickers were extra hard. I would NOT recommend this food. The price was reasonable for a family meal though. Unfortunately my family had to throw it in the trash.

This is the second time in 2 years that I've written a bad review for Safeway of Monroe. The first time was due to front manager's unwillingness to replace a bottle of gin that fell through one of their weak plastic bag. The most recent was today when I forgot my walle, but told the self check-out person that I would be back in a few minutes with my wallet. When I came back in about 5-6 minutes later my cart was gone. The self check person had started the process of putting my groceries back on the shelves. Not sure what her interpretation of a few minutes means but it's not less than 5 minute. She called the bag person who had taken my cart to return back to self checkout. When he arrived, he was polite and gave the cart to me. I then proceeded to go and check myself out. The self checkout person proceeded to yell Sir, Sir several times, which I'm sure everyone could hear her yelling. At the time I wasn't sure that she was in fact yelling at me. However, I quickly realized once she walked over to me with a discussed look on her face and threw the bag ice that I needed on my shopping list Into my cart.

Thank you Safeway for the privilege of throwing away the herbed butter that comes in every pre-packed salmon available after 8pm when the seafood counter closes. No choice for late shoppers who have no need of this wonderful inclusion @ $13.99 per pound. A big greedy screw you profit gouging for loyal customers. Thanks but no thanks.

I used the digital app and at check out had a had a hard time figuring it out. Tara helped me but I needed to go thru a regular check out. When I got to one low and behold there was Tara. Had a great experience checking out with her. As a retired Union checker, including working for Safeway, she earned a 5 star from me. Also love the small courtesy lady with long gray hair is the best. I wish I had workers that worked as hard as she does.

Why can't they have a register open in the morning? I hate checking myself out. I don't want to go to work all night and then have to come work for free.

If you are black, or brown you will be treated differently here. The manager and the clerk both did not have their mask on properly. It was below the nose. That doesn't keep anyone safe.

Over 10% over shoppers in Monroe, WA store were not masking up. One sneezed over everything and I had to ask the cashier to disinfect.

Good selection of items as usual, each aisle is clearly signed so I know where items are just by scanning the signs quickly, and there's a fresh seafood counter as well as a fresh bakery. Self-checkout is available here and makes the process faster too.

they are a bunch of racist presumptuous bigots who make assumptions about their customers accusing them of stealing because they are drinking something im the store when CLEARLY they have the intended payment method in there hands.

Last night i was shopping right before closing at 1 am. By the time I was at checkout and they checked everyone out it was past 1. Maybe 1:10. The checker left and i was standing there. ( in all fairness, the checker couldn't see me as I was still standing back a little bit looking at my items etc. ) so I asked a night stalker if I was able to get checked out. She looked pretty irritated with me and said I'll get my manager. I believe his name was steve. He came out and gladly checked me out. I had quit a bit of stuff too. I know they want to get home. But he was nice and helped me thru. So I just want to say thank you to him for not being a jerk to me and taking time out of his night that I tapped into . thank you night manager.

3 stars based on the basics, but could be better: Meat Dept.-- typically cordial service, but often seem distracted or bothered to be interrupted in their stocking duties. Last Saturday was a good example. Blonde, younger lady was really nearly rude. She was stocking shelves next to the service counter, the only one nearby. I asked for a sirloin steak to be sliced for stroganoff. She said OK, and grabbed a steak. I said I'd be back later, as I had other shopping to do. I finished, swung by, thanked her as she had returned to stocking shelves, and she barely responded without acknowledging my gratitude. Produce--Pretty good, consistent quality. Deli--Nice personnel, prompt service. Checkers--Hit and miss, often lacking in friendliness or even a greeting. Overall, I think this is a challenging location for any retail store. Always transients present nearby, and similarly unsavory customers. To illustrate, their liquor shelves are locked up, while down the road in Duvall there are no locked liquor cabinets.
