My husband and I went to the Monroe, WA Safeway Pharmacy this evening to receive our Covid-19 and Flu Vaccination but our health insurance card information was rejected by the Pharmacy's computer. Our insurance card through my husband's employer is current - we use it regularly and recently at Rite Aid in Monroe. We used it to receive our last Covid-19 booster last May at Pharm-a-save in Monroe. The female Pharmacist was very nice and she was doing everything in her power but the computer simply would not permit our insurance information to go through. I contacted the store manager after we came home and the store manager explained that the Pharmacy, though situated inside Safeway is not really a part of the Safeway store. This might explain why so many people on this review site are so dissatisfied with the Safeway Pharmacy. If the Pharmacy is not a part of the Safeway store - and the store manager did not even know who owned the Pharmacy -- then where is the accountability for when something is amiss? It is not the fault of the poor Pharmacist or Pharmacy staff -- I think they are also on the same receiving end as the rest of us -- the blame belongs to the Corporate Office. When a business becomes so large that profit is all that matters, then the human element is cast aside. And I suspect there is truth in my perception.

I’ve used Monroe Safeway pharmacy for as long as I can remember, even before they moved up the hill from Main Street. They are professional, efficient, caring, prompt, friendly, and careful. They get all the stars.

Awful service. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be. They do not care if someone goes without important medication. Staff are hardlyever friendly. Worst pharmacy in Monroe!!

went there for chicken and pasta last night..
usually good.. but last night my whole house (6 people) all vomiting sick from that food last night.. all hours of night my family rotating in and out of the bathroom.. it was the worst I've ever had from safeway and still not feeling good this morning.. my family will be spending there weekend home not far from the bathroom.
quality I believe is going out the window at this safeway.. use to love it and as a buisness owner we like to support local.
but with quality going away we will prepare meals from home from now on....
bring back the Albertson deli chicken..
hands down 100%better

I have used the safeway pharmacy for prescriptions my entire life. Today I had the absolute worst experience and will never use their services again. I am flying out tomorrow on vacation and went to pick up some anxiety pills my doctor prescribed. The lady would not fill it because she said he set an expiration of October 28th. I'm like it's nowhere near October. She said she still couldn't fill it.

If Safeway Monroe doesn't get thier act together someone is going to end up hurt. They rarely have enough meds. And people just can't be without seizure meds. I called before meds were gone. They didn't have any in stock. It's been 48hr since I ran out. I was even hung up on today when showing concern for how long it's taking to get meds. He was more concerned about the covid shots

I moved from Mill Creek area where has lots of pharmacies. Normally Ride aide and other phermacy stores are better than grocery store pheromones. I thought Safeway grocery phermacy was not good in Monroe as well. Well, I was WRONG. Safeway phermacy in Monroe is much better than all other pharmacies in Monroe. Ride Aide and other pheromones in monroe were so bad, Even I take a time to write review.

The staff at this pharmacy make everything very difficult and the older woman named Kathy is the most abrasive, rude woman I have ever had to deal with.

On multiple occasions they have told my husband and I that our prescriptions will be filled in 20mins - 30min only to come back later and find out they are completely out of stock of the medication(s)... The last time this happened was today, for a antibiotic, for an awful kidney infection! And what did they have to say? Call another pharmacy or MAYBE we'll get more in tomorrow. If I have to wait until tomorrow, I'll be in the hospital. Absolutely ridiculous and quite dangerous service. Needless to say we are livid, honestly if you're out of a medication, why are you giving customers time estimates for said medication to be filled. Thank goodness Walmart Pharmacy had my antibiotics in stock. Safeway, get your s**t together!

If you're someone that needs immediate refills when your meds are out, this is not the pharmacy for you. They'll tell you they're out of stock on a Friday, then on Monday say the same thing and tell you they'll order them. Wednesday night and still no pain meds.
