Do not give this bank your business whatsoever! I wish Google allowed for zero stars!! After being a loyal customer for almost 10 years we had enough! Closing all personal and business accounts. Poor customer service recently by one of their staff and poor communication skills and uses ALL CAPS in email exchanges! Very unprofessional! While banking with WAFd we have had some of the greatest bank experience out there til very recently (this year), and I would love to hear directly from WAFd on resolving our ongoing issue with the repeated charging of insufficient charge fees, as the app clearly has issues telling consumer actual balances from our end. We check our accounts religiously and transfer money as needed to cover charges between accounts before making transactions. And nearly daily/weekly we get insufficient charges! Shouldn't a transfer from account to another account cover transactions? Not anymore with WAFd and clearly there was a change this year sometime and is a new revenue stream off the backs of small businesses and people alike! We have began the process of filing a complaint with the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and WAFd should take this very seriously as this practice is not only unfair and deceptive but maybe considered a fraudulent business practice!

I opened a checking account for my parents at WaFd four months ago with the help of an older, heavier set blonde lady. However, I received forwarded mail last week that was in my parents' name, containing credit card statements from Wells Fargo with a balance of over $4000. Someone had acquired my parents' personal information. I called Wells Fargo to cancel the card and delete the account. Upon review of the bank statements, I discovered that 90% of the spending was in Monroe and Snohomish which is hours from my parents.
