I come up here 5 times a year. A group of ius rent their sewing space for 4 days. We sew, chat, and buy fabric for the whole time. Friendliest staff imaginable. Sale prices in the back room are incredible. Looking forward to the next trip in January.

I love this store. I find everything im looking for here and much to my financial demise a lot that I don't need. Crista Cinda and Brooke are knowledgeable and so nice. I love going in this store.

This shop is wonderful! I live across the nation from them and they posted in a group I’m part of on a sale they were having. So, I ordered a decent amount of fabric because I was excited about the amazing price! Them being across the nation, I wasn’t expecting the fabric to show up immediately but realized 12-14 days later it still hadn’t arrived. I called their shop and left a message COMPLETELY FORGETTING about the drastic time difference. The shop wasn’t due to be open for hours but I still got a prompt response with tracking with very little wait. The post office had been the issue but the good service doesn’t stop there! I’ve now had my fabric and package for about a week and everything came as expected. Well, the shop reached out AGAIN and asked if I had received it! After giving me the tracking they really had no responsibility to the situation and I’m beyond pleased with the care and attention I received! Thank you!

This is by far my favorite quilt shop in the area! Cinda and Krista are just the best, always so helpful.Calico Creations has an outstanding selection/variety of high quality quilting fabric at reasonable prices (quilting cotton is not cheap). They have sales periodically throughout the year and a sale room (that doubles as a classroom) for when you need a quilt back at an affordable price. It's an hour drive for me but absolutely worth it - I drive up here instead of going to Quilting Mayhem, which is closer but is way more expensive and doesn't have nearly the same level of selection. They also sell online and you can pick up or have it mailed to you.

I visited this lovely store whilst on holiday in the States. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. When the customer assistant asked if I had visited before and realised that I was traveling from the UK she offered me a tour of the store. She showed me the different sections of fabrics and the discounted ranges - even those not immediately on display. The store has a good variety of designers from Kaffe Fasset to Tilda and a whole host of others!! They had a very lovely selection of Christmas fabrics and not all of them the traditional colourways. The shop assistant was friendly and welcoming but not pushy in anyway. Probably the best service I have had in any quilt store. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome, if only I could visit more often!!

Since I first reviewed this shop (8 years ago!), many MANY beloved local quilt shops have gone out of businesses - including several of my favorites. So, even though it's a bit off the beaten path, Calico Creations has become a place I can rely on to grab the perfect fabric for my latest project. So I try to stop there when I'm passing near (or through) MV.They carry all of the major designers and latest lines. From modern prints by Tula Pink and Kaffe Fassett to more traditional calicos and Civil War style fabrics, you will find it here. Not to mention they have an extensive collection of solids and blender fabrics, baby fabrics, pattern books and even some pre-cuts (not many, but I'll take it). Not in a sewing mood? Find inspo from their ever-rotating samples adorning their windows and walls. On a budget? They have an impressive (and huge) sale area in the back, where fabric is $10/yard (or lower).My only criticism is their small space. They could easily fill a shop twice the size, and as a result many MANY of their bolts are sitting on the floor. They try to keep it organized, and do a pretty good job, but it bears mentioning you'll need to "file" through bolts on the floor that aren't as easy to view as the ones on the shelves.
