I hate to confirm that a lot of the bad reputation this place has is valid. But it's really obvious to me that they are trying lately. The pharmacist Randy in particular. His attitude and ability to serve the community in a helpful manner has improved significantly. Like he's trying to carry the rest of the crew by being a great pharmacist. These people are tired and overworked by being understaffed. They deserve a little grace. But if you need a heart med or anything that is time sensitive, this would not be my first choice.

Got my COVID shot done by Branden today and he also did one for my husband the other day. Really great experience; Fast and painless. Thanks for the good work! They are always consistent and fast with my prescriptions and the text reminders and auto-refill system works great.

First off, I have worked in customer service for years, and I had the displeasure of interacting with a male pharmacy employee here with brown hair and a beard. He was completely rude and disrespectful from the start. When you deal with personal things such as medication, you should have empathy and kindness to those who come to you for help, which is the opposite of what I received. I was given attitude for not knowing the exact name of my prescription, and when I found the name and gave it to him, he then treated me as if I was a lesser human being who needed to be talked down to, and did just that for the entirety of the rest of our interaction. I have never left a pharmacy feeling like such a burden before.

We’ve been using this pharmacy for 4 years, things used to be very smooth and convenient. We’d get texts with updates, if there was a delay in filling prescriptions, they’d call or follow up. The last year things have gone downhill to the point where you fill your prescription, then when you get there, nothing is ready, you have to wait again. If you try to call to verify your prescription is ready, nobody answers. So you have to plan to get there in person, then they might start your fill, or sometimes they say it’ll be a couple hours. Even if you use the phone system to fill, it’s never ready. We understand they are understaffed, but it’s a consistent problem at this location now. Do not use this pharmacy if you need to get time sensitive medications.

This pharmacy really sucks. I’m not sure what’s going on, but the computer system, the place they order meds from and the phones all suck. Not one is working together. They never have it together!

They are very kind to me. Brendan remembers names of patients! When getting vaccines, they are very knowledgeable in recommending which ones to get and the order for best efficiency. They all go out of their way to be helpful even when extremely busy. The best in Mount Vernon.

Unfriendly service, none of the staff seems to like working here or like helping customers. Service is really slow because they usually only have one person helping customers. They never answer their phone so you can't get any help that way. Had switched to RiteAid and they we exceptional. Ended up back here when Britain closed because it's closest to home and hoped things had improved. Nope.

Thank you for voluntarily transferring my Wife's prescription from a difficult big-box pharmacy and filling it promptly. You made our day.

Zero stars! These people are rude and act so put out by having to help you, very sour attitudes ESPECIALLY the young blonde woman in back, she's quite literally THE WORST consistently! They don't answer phones, claim they don't get messages, even from my doctor who advised I leave this pharmacy as she feels they over step, over police and are overall largely incompetent. I agree. My doctor has wasted so much time trying to reach them that it's an inside joke now. Last time I was there was the last time I let them talk down to me as though I were a child and I told the blonde young woman she was just awful and I've now gone elsewhere. After reading these reviews, I could relate to so many of the bad experiences that people spoke of that I too have had at this awful pharmacy. So happy to be gone from there! Somebody seriously needs to do a complete overhaul of this pharmacy, starting with replacing that dreadful staff!

I have to change my review after being called a liar by the staff.
On the 29th I had two medications sent over to be filled one I got that day and one I had to wait for a prior authorization. I went to try to buy the other with cash and I was told to wait until the prior authorization went through and the balding pharmacist told me to take my other pills while I waited, I even told my doctor this. So I took two of my booster doses for four days that’s 8 pills out of that batch. I got the other one filled on may 3rd and switched to taking one a day of the booster dose.
Naturally I ran out of my booster dose early and contacted the pharmacy to get it refilled and when I explained what happened the person on the phone dismissed me and said “there is no way he would say that!” Calling me a liar.
I do not lie. If you can’t fill it early that’s one thing but do not call me a liar. Disgusting behavior.

This pharmacy does not accept Telehealth prescriptions. They don't let you know that until in person to make you feel like an idiot. Drove a county away when they could've told me that over the phone. Not empathetic about it at all. Low rated pharmacy for a reason.

I hate that I have my prescriptions here. Rude service every time. Attitude when I ask a question. Not the woman at the cashier, the older brunette she’s ok. If overwhelmed. She definitely needs help. And no one helps her. The others behind the counter look at you with contempt and disgust. I would fire them all. I don’t care that you hate your job. Not my problem. You’re paid for customer service. And it’s consistently terrible.
Today, after another terriblly rude experience, I have switched pharmacies. Just one less reason to go to that store. I wonder if they read these reviews. Lots of bad reviews on here.
Too bad. Most people that work there are super friendly. Just not the pharmacy.

not the most responsive pharmacy in the area, unfortunately. their phone system must be broken, and they refuse to fix it, because no staff member ever picks up the phone if you want to call them to confirm anything, and both the staff and pharmacists are weirdly combative about mentioning the phone.
had a pharmacist say, flatly and with no hesitation, "we have no record of anyone calling us", when i was on the line with my doctor while he called to confirm a prescription (in which he was ALSO not able to get a hold of them).
if you use the website or app for hassle-free drugs though, it's good enough. there were times where i was in and out getting meds in less than 5 minutes.
but if you need to call in for vacation/emergency supplies, aren't able to use the app or website, or generally need to talk to any staff member? there are plenty other pharmacies in mount vernon that are better to work with.

My doctor recently called in a prescription on a Thursday afternoon and, in a follow-up conversation, asked me to call the Haggen pharmacy for a pickup time/date. There is no option to inquire about the status of a prescription, so I tried calling the pharmacy directly, about 4 p.m. on a Friday . . . 17 rings later and nobody bothered to answer the phone. Haggen should be embarrassed by this incident. Please modify the menu to allow one to at least ascertain the status of a prescription.

As an active duty military member stationed in Washington, I recently encountered an exasperating experience at Haggen Pharmacy that left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite state regulations allowing controlled substance refills up to 3-5 days early, Haggen Pharmacy steadfastly refused to fill my new prescription until the exact day my old one expired. This rigid adherence to policy without consideration for individual circumstances is unacceptable.Adding to the frustration was the fact that my doctor had already submitted the prescription, only to be told that it couldn't be filled until they personally authorized it again. This begs the question: what is the purpose of having a doctor submit a prescription if the pharmacist won't honor it without further confirmation?Compounding the issue is the difficulty of reaching medical professionals, especially for someone like myself in the military who may not have easy access to my doctor. This lack of accessibility creates unnecessary barriers to obtaining vital medication.Furthermore, as someone who had made arrangements to travel and visit family, I now find myself in the predicament of having to wait for my prescription to be refilled, disrupting my plans and causing undue stress. What's particularly frustrating is the absence of transparency regarding Haggen Pharmacy's policy on controlled substance refills. Where is it clearly stated that they will not refill prescriptions early? This lack of clarity only adds to the confusion and inconvenience experienced by customers.Overall, my experience at Haggen Pharmacy has been deeply disappointing. Their inflexible policies, lack of consideration for individual circumstances, and inadequate communication regarding prescription refills have left me feeling frustrated and let down. As a loyal customer, I expected better service and flexibility, and unfortunately, Haggen Pharmacy failed to deliver.
