Originally thought Hilltop was a great, local pharmacy. Then everything changed when it was necessary for my spouse to opt for mail order pharmacy for specialty, maintenance meds via our Humana Rx Plan. However, after ER visits, when Dr. writes a script for immediate consumption, waiting for mail order won't work! Patients need meds immediately, thus a local pharmacy is where you go. Hilltop Pharmacy shuts you out, blacklists when you're attached to mail order pharmacy. Refusals to fill a script creates stressful life/death situations. NOT acceptable or ethical! Seems downright illegal to be refused service for no good reason.

We are moving to Mount Vernon and I was so happy to find a local pharmacy to support. When I called in my prescriptions, a few days ago, the pharmacist was less than friendly but I thought maybe they were just super busy. I just went to pick up my prescription and the customer service was way less than friendly. As I pulled up to the drive through I said hello and asked how her day was going. No much response to that. Then I let her know that we were moving to Mount Vernon and I was so happy to find them. Her response was to ask for my last name. The interaction never got any friendlier. Too bad that they think this is the way they treat people.

I have been going here for years. Over the past year, they have lost any good staff members they had. Now when I go, there is always a mix up on if my prescriptions have been picked up, and it is pulling teeth to get my fills. They also never call when prescriptions are ready, you have to call and ask them (they have a long turnaround for filling meds). All the employees are rude, condescending, and don't ever listen. I had one of the pharmacists yell at me through the drive thru over a request I did not even ask for. I will be switching away from here. Unfortunate that this is one of the few local pharmacies in the area. The owner is not nice and does not make up for a subpar and disrespectful staff. Do not get your scripts here. Always new workers with the good ones never lasting - that should tell you something. Update: they will also close your account with them if you leave an honest, negative review. No warning! No chance to get prescriptions switched over!

Update: Fraud Alert! WARNING!Today, 5/2/2024. I was able to cancel my prescription at hilltop, the one they lost from 10days ago. I moved it, with my doctors assitance, to Rite-Aid on college way, where they filled it for 57.00. Either they had my new insurance already on file, or that was the cash price as nothing was asked of me except for my ID. I have never been carded at Hilltop......its nice to know Rite-Aid doesn't believe in robbing people, and takes the dispensing of medication seriously.5/1/2024Criminal behavior displayed by employees.Asked for explanation of why the price for medication went up. Answer was that my insurance changed. Asked why they had waited a week to fill the prescription if the change from one insurance company to another resulted in an increase of 350.00 dollars, was told that wasn't their fault, my doctors office had sent it to squim wa? Ok.....so? My doctor messed up, so you say, hard to believe but sure.......or you messed up, and I caught you. You saw that my insurance was changing, and you can just blame the consumer for everything. So you misplace my prescription, misplace the new insurance although you could just look it up, and then call me to come get it when my other insurance has lapsed and you can charge me a cash price of 400.00, because you can't find my new insurance. Had the old insurance all last week though and I definitely don't send and fill my own scripts, so I'd love to hear how I'm wrong, but seems to me like you thought you could skim some cream. It's not like I can verify a cash price for medication, now can I? I declined picking it up, transferring to anywhere else. I'd stay away people, probably similar to the people from China Wok, might be the same people. Simply criminal.P.S. pharmacist is in his 50s, yet only has 11yrs experience. Late life change? Or just couldn't hack it in college? Perhaps criminal record, or time in prison? Who knows, but merits investigating. Also all female personnel, except pharmacists, bigotry at its finest ladies and gentlemen.Got 2 stars, as just like the neighborhood plugs they are, they have what you need.

I like it because it is close to me, and I can walk there, I can also receive medicine from Seamar, the only bad thing is that it closes very early ?

My wife and I have used Hilltop for several years and we now specify to our providers that Hilltop is our pharmacy of choice. We've used this pharmacy for a variety of vaccinations, and we have purchased durable medical devices as well as OTC drugs from Hilltop.Pharmacist-owner Kevin Bingham personally explains new drugs and/or medical devices to patrons. His customer service priorities are reflected in his staff as well.

They are not Senior, Handicap friendly. They stopped delivery service even though a $3.00 per prescription fee was charged. They stopped Saturday service. They didn't provide a rest room for disabled customers resulting in a fecal accident on the drive to the nearest restroom. They delayed informing customers about coverage when insurance plans changed.

Staff is very rude. Anytime I've called they are not friendly and rude, drive up they are rushed and no conversations. It's not a friendly pharmacy at all. The owner is the only friendly person there that is helpful. When I've asked how a medication works, any pharmacist other than the owner, they are rude and act like I should already know how my medication works.

I have used several pharmacies in Skagit county. The level of service, care and attentiveness given by the staff (sorry I don’t remember names well) has been so refreshing! Small town family owned is the way to go! Thanks for all you do!
