Ralph has the best beets ever...sweet as can be.
I always buy an extra bundles and steam them for our bulldogs....they make the best treats EVER!!
They even get the greens...just like us!!

Took a bicycle tour of the more than one location of this wonderful local organic company that has been around for decades, put on by Skagit Food Co-op once a year. Wish I took more photos, especially the goats.!

Mr. John provided a very informative tour of the farm when my husband and I visited this place. Sprawling around 250 acres, this farm grows organic veggies almost round the year. They are well known for their leeks. There were several veggies in varying stages of growth when we visited - carrots, beets, spinach, collard, fennel, cabbage. It was fascinating to see the irrigation system, composting pits, packaging assembly lines, gigantic freezer storage. Extremely passionate farmers!

We had a class field trip today. I think "Farmer Ray" was our guide.
WOW, is he passionate for what he does!!
He was patient with the kids, & gave us "big kids" a lot of free produce after.
