The auto shop that installed the Ignition Interlock in my car is now out of business. Thank you ? Jesus!?My car started successfully exactly three times after the ignition Interlock device installation service. It hasn't worked in about three years since.I'll have to tow my car to a service center for repairs.2012 Toyota Prius V Prime

SMARTSTART has a new policy as of August 2023 that you have to pay in full and wait for reimbursement even if you have financial assistance through dol . I was approved for financial assistance months ago and they have been helping me pay most of my interlock monthly fees but now I have to pay full price and wait for a reimbursement which defeats the purpose of getting financial assistance the point of financial assistance is because I can’t afford to pay full price every month. I called dol and they said that doesn’t sound right. My only option here is to switch companies. They are playing a cruel game here and I don’t like it. SMARTSTART can’t even explain why they made this new policy.THIS REVIEW HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GATEWAY AUTO IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH SMARTSTART AND SMARTSTART ONLY

The guy was very rude to me for no reason they installed the device wrong and my car was haven’t trouble starting he told me the issue was with my car and they wouldn’t fix it if the issue was or wasn’t with my car or the device and wouldn’t let me talk to a manager I had to go to another shop and they helped me for free! I don’t do reviews so trust me it had to be bad for me to do this

Do not recommend!!! They have done nothing but take our money!! It’s very unreliable, it loves to lock your car for at least a half hour-hour. If it does that, you have to go and get it restarted and that cost 150$ each time, had it for 3 months and had to go and get it restarted At least 4 times, very frustrating and cost of money. They don’t help much at all and the service is a joke. This morning, went to get it taken out at 7am this morning, it’s Locked up twice already, still waiting for it to let us start back up just to drive a couple feet to the garage for it to finally get taken out, still here waiting this very minute, horrible!!!!

I told the technician 1 month please. He came back to me asking again and I repeated 1 month please. After I left he charged me for 2 months. Smh, he might've been stoned....or stupid.
