I had a blast! I was a little nervous because I hadn't shot a bow in about 10 years and wasn't sure what the environment would be for someone who just wanted to casually shoot (not in a league or a class), but it ended up being exactly what I was looking for! David was so great - he got us set up with all of our equipment and then showed us proper form. Once we had a couple rounds to get our form down, he helped us aim properly for the center of the target. I got a lot better over one hour in a very non intimidating environment :)

The staff at nock point are awesome! Very friendly to newbies. They take safety seriously (as they should).

Please don't come here. The people that work here are absolute garbage. I've never been met with more hostility, and rudeness, just because I am just getting into archery, idk. But just be aware.

They have a retail store but you can’t go in! You have to view everything from the door. It’s like online except worse

The staff always make it easy to get (re)oriented to shooting. Consistently welcoming, safe, and fun time. Highly recommended as an alternative to bowling ?

I'm addicted! Brought a group of friend with me to re-visit archery for my birthday. I haven't shot since my early 20s, so it's been at least 10+ years since I've picked up a bow. So coming here and trying target shooting felt like riding a bike. I was there for several hours and didn't want to stop. My friends were getting exhausted so I finally stopped shooting and explored some bow options. I've always wanted to explore this further but was nervous about the investment. Having gotten into jiu-jitsu, this last decade, I felt like this would help me with my chokes. & I have a little bit more body awareness than I did when I was younger so I felt like I could adjust my shooting a little more and get where I wanted with my aim. Everyone at the shop has been so helpful at every visit. and let's say I've been there A LOT this month. And everyone's helped me with my my indecision. From teaching me about the differences of the brands, how to string my bow, what my options were for tabs, to how to pack my bag. There was a point where I tired to get a cheaper bow, and they helped me get fitted, and then after shooting for an hour, I realized I made the wrong choice as my aim was drifting, Jim tried to help me out by adding some weights but at the end of the day, I went back to my first love I've initially had my eye on, and I haven't been able to get that glimmer out of my eye since. Ever since I've gotten fit with my bow, I've been itching to come back. Everyone at the range has been super friendly too, and helpful in asking questions to help me with the right fit, even compound shooters while I have my simple recurve. Overall, super recommend this spot to get in with a great community of people. Also if you get your bow here, you get complimentary repairs which ends up saving you tons of money in the long run, and they have amazing customer service & really assist you with your budget. They had fingertabs from 10-100$ I didn't realize there was such a range! I literally knew nothing, and they were never condescending and always extremely helpful and welcoming to my millions of questions.

Brought a compound bow I purchased second-hand for a tune-up and to get fit. David was super knowledgeable and very helpful. I had a great experience (and got some help with my technique, too!). I'll be back for all of my archery needs.Just an edit: they no longer require masks when I visited (8/29).

This place is amazing! I was doing archery many years ago and now I took my host kid to share my passion. Everyone here was more than welcoming and helpful. They try everything to give you the best experience you can get! I would give 100 stars if I could.

I came in today for my first time in an archery store with a very old bow. I have no idea how these guys could possibly have any negative reviews. These must be incredibly careless or entitled individuals leaving them which makes sense with the state we live in. They spent 3 hours bare minimum trying to get my bow ready for season in the most economical way possible. Didn’t try to talk me into anything unneeded, then spent well over an hour and a half intermittently teaching me how to shoot for FREE. Both him and another individual working there tried to help me in anyway possible, complimented my ancient bow not trying to talk me into another. For anyone bashing these guys, maybe go educate yourself a bit on life and the world. Class acts and ambassadors to the sport. I will be back for all future business and will be bringing these guys some elk. Could not possibly be more pleased with the service.Thank you gentlemen.

Range and rates are fine, staff is a bit to pushy and odd. I'd rather go shooting in the woods then come back here. They made my friend and me feel very uncomfortable, due to some condesending comments, before they even gave us 10 min to learn or shake off the rust.

Excellent coaching and instruction. Chill, pleasant vibe, although thankfully the coaches are also very safety-oriented and strict with rules - after all, bows and arrows are weapons! Our coach/instructor today was Asa. He was very helpful to both my friend Sammar and I. Sammar actually bought her bow and arrows at the Nock Point, and she told me how helpful the staff here was in making sure that the bow that she bought was a good fit for her. I own a bow and arrows, but they ended up not being the best choice for me to use for shooting archery today. I bought my bow and arrows in 2013 as props for photo shoots in 2013 and 2014, so I'm not shocked that they weren't suitable for archery action. So, I rented a bow and arrows today. I also bought a bracer for $15. My costs for today were around $50 for about 2 1/2 hours of shooting archery, but it will cost me around $35 when I go back, since I own the bracer now. Asa helped me adjust my form. I was struggling a bit with pulling the bow string of the first bow back far enough for my shots, so Asa replaced my 20-pound bow with a 16-pound bow, and the replacement solved this issue. He also adjusted the orange dot below the target to suit my patterns of shooting. He did the same thing for Sammar's orange dot. The orange dot helps with aiming. Our coach was quick to spot issues like this and to help effectively solve them. Sammar and I both ended up getting several bulls eyes, in part due to such excellent and attentive coaching. What a wonderful experience. Sammar and I will be returning for sure. Pictures 1 - 4 were taken today at The Nock Point. The target on the right of the photo was my target, and the target on the left of the photo was Sammar's target. Pictures 5 - 7 of me (and of me with my gladiators, LOL) were taken in 2013 and in 2014 at my photo shoots where I used my bow and arrows that weren't suitable for actually shooting archery today. Just wanted to share. With a name like Artemis (the Goddess Artemis is traditionally depicted with a bow and arrows), I was hoping I would be decent at this! Until today, I haven't shot archery since I was a child. I remember loving it as a kid and being pretty good at it, but I wasn't sure if I'd still be good at it as an adult. Happily I think I can say that I've still got it! Thanks to Asa, the great coach at the Nock Point, for his help today!

Good place for team event! David is a good teacher, he helped and guided us individually. He is so patient and helpful. Definitely will return and have fun! Hope I will improve next time?
