I thought I posted on here when I moved but I completely forgot! My husband and I lived at Carvel from October 2018-2023 and loved every minute of it!We moved to be closer to family since we recently had a daughter but if that wasn't the case we would still be living in Carvel. The matinence team is always so nice and great with communication and the office stuff is the same.We also had a few noise complaints over the 5 years that were taken care of immediately.I see some complaints about parking but if you abide by the rules it's never an issue.I would absolutely recommend this complex!-Kirstie, Sean and Piper Youso

I wouldn't recommend this complex, please stay away. We've stayed there for 1 year and 3 months, my partner and I have never experienced so badly managed apartments with so ridiculous regulations and hidden fees.1. Their demo apartment is much nicer than the actual one: paint in the demo one is different, it has accent walls and airy curtains. The actual one was dark and dull with old blinds.2. Please pay attention where in the complex your future apartment is. Our windows were facing the highway side, and despite the trees it was very noisy at night because of traffic. Apartments on the other side of the complex must be much quieter (e.g. building 9-10) and possibly would've been a completely different experience. On the other hand, the noise from the airplane field was rather rare and din't bother us much.3. Their maintenance "department" is a joke. When we moved in, one cabinet in the kitchen was missing a door (it was stated in our move in papers, too), they said they ordered a new one and would fix when it arrives. It was never fixed despite our multiple reminders. Their maintenance guy came several times to take measurements again. In about a year when we enquired about it once again they said they are not aware of the problem as we never lodged a maintenance request through their online portal. The missing cabinet door wasn't a huge inconvenience but their constant lie about the fact they are "ordered and waiting for the new part to arrive" didn't sound trustworthy.4. We moved in in August when it was warm and din't check the heaters. Once we turned on the main heater in November it started to release smoke from the wall and almost caused fire. We let the management know about the problem immediately, but it took them almost 2 months (very cold winter months!) to get it fixed after several repeated requests.5. To change paid parking arrangement you have to give them huge notice in advance (30 days if I remember correct) and will end up paying extra month because of that (e.g. I sold my car and din't need my parking space but had to pay for the empty one anyway, possibly they could do it faster and give my slot to someone who actually needs it?)6. Ridiculous and not obvious fees for little things like not returning them a parking sticker from a car (I accidentally sold my car to the Eastern WA with the sticker) and the guest parking permit sign are just enraging. $200+ for a piece of paper? You can do better, I am sure. If your permit system is bad, please don't make tenants pay for it, use technology for God's sake.7. Already mentioned in other comments: they never try to call the owner before towing the car away. It is a huge inconvenience and cost to get the car back, mostly people park incorrectly because of mistake or misunderstanding, not because their bad will. Please be humane at once and try to contact people and solve the problem politely before creating more trouble for them.8. When you move out you have to pay until the end of the month, they don't refund the reminder if you move out earlier even if you give them notice (they require 20 days) - this was a surprise, and felt like a scam. Why I have to pay for extra days I didn't use the apartment?9. We meticulously patched all little holes in walls after hanging pictures when we were moving out, and painted with provided by them paint, yet they charged us for partial re-paint of the apartment.10. The swimming pool was mostly closed.Overall these apartments left very bitter feeling of disappointment. My recommendation to the management would be to review their fees and make them more transparent, also improve their inefficient and bureaucratic processes. It's pretty cowardly to keep the rent relatively low, and then make people pay the hidden fees for small unexpected things. Please work with your tenants, not against them.

The staff in the office have always been so attentive and kind. Maintenance is always quick to respond and are very kind and professional. The office always puts together resident events that are thoughtful and fun to attend. The gym is so convenient, always clean and well maintained.

Dear Carvel representativesI have been living at Carvel Harbour point for 7 months and wanted to share my experience with you. From the first day I came to the office when I met Urszula I was impressed with her professional maturity, honesty and hard working attitude, all bundled in a nice and polite manner. My move transition went very smoothly and because of her attention to details I was completely signed up on a weekend without a single problem. It is very refreshing to know that there are still honest, hardworking and simply good people still are around.Thank you for making Carvel a pleasant place to liveB. Sharifi

I have lived at Carvel for a little over 2 years now. And my family and I really feel at home here. From the amenities to the staff. I give it 5 stars. The ladies that manage the Leasing Office are top tier. Urszula and Alicia are always friendly and greet you with a warm smile. They are approachable and attentive with all and any questions or concerns that you may have. If you have any sort of problem, they are quick to find a speedy resolution to help fix that problem and make sure to thoroughly communicate as needed.Any time I need to reach them via email or phone and they are busy. They always get back to me in a timely manner. My son who is 5 has really taken to Urszula and enjoys running in the office from time to time to get a yummy snack that they always offer to residents and visiting guest. And he loves to catch her up on all the cool 5 year old things lol. She creates a safe and pleasant atmosphere for all. And my husband and I really appreciate that as parents. From the fun events they put on to the community as a whole. We would recommend living here to anyone seeking a comfortable and safe place to call home.

I have lived at these apartments for 3 years and I am extremely pleased with the staff and the comfortable atmosphere there is of living here. Management has worked with me through any needs I’ve had or any concerns very professionally. I have zero complaints. I highly recommend Carvel to anyone looking for a great place to call home. And the maintenance guys are always keeping on top of things and will always address an issue right away if one ever came up. Oh, and it’s so close to the doctors, the YMCA, Walgreens, dentist, it is in such a perfect location. And schools are very close for my kids.

Ursula, the office lady is horrible!.I've lived here for 5+ yrs. and have never met anybody who is worse than this lady. She is extremely rude and lazy and cares nothing about the tenants' needs or complaints. I wholeheartedly wish that she get fired but of course that will never happen.

Do not live here. It's not worth it. we had so many issues while living here. And now they're sending a debt collector for a check THEY CASHED. Like how unorganized can you possibly be. It's ridiculous.

Horrible lack of professionalism and extremely uneducated staff. office people are horrendous, couldn't care less about the residents and are inconsistent in their rules. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!they towed my daughter's car within 15 minute notice of her tire being over the line in a parking space. Small claims court here we come. We will not stand for being bullied or inconsistent application of rules.

Don't rent here. Trash everywhere. Dog feces everywhere. Packages stolen. Harassed by other residents. Ineffective appliances. 1800.00 for 500 sq feet with piss poor lighting. I can smell my neighbors cooking through the kitchen outlet. Noisy neighbors. Too many things to list and since I still have to live here for now I'll bite my tongue. Once I move out, I'll be updating with specific info and hopefully someone who cares will read my review and actually help the residents who reside here. I could go on and on about the failures here, but hopefully this is enough to warn somebody so they don't get stuck here like I am.

I wouldn't even give this place one star. I returned home from vacation last night only to find they had towed my car, mind you I have a parking pass and have lived here over 3 years! No notice or anything I had to try to figure out where my car was on my own. $1000 dollars later since they towed it the day I left for vacation I got my car back. Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism I have experienced from staff with other circumstance. I will not be renewing my lease. Hope that call was worth a vacant apartment.
