Darcy did all of the adjustments for my prom and homecoming dresses, they always fit perfectly and were the perfect length once she was done with them. 100% recommend.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAL. She is so nice and gets you in as soon as she can. Her work is great, and she gives tips regarding your dress for the wedding day. I would definitely recommend her if you are in the area. Sorry! I have favorites, and she is one of them.

I wanted to share some very negative experiences I had with Fragile Fit to hopefully prevent other brides from having similar experiences.
I was referred to Darcy by I Do Bridal in Seattle. I wasn't excited about driving up to Mukilteo but was assured she would do quality work at a good price. During my first dress fitting, everything went pretty smoothly. Darcy pinned the dress up and we scheduled our next fitting. The alterations ended up costing $720 (incl. tip and tax)--this seemed like a lot to me but I've never done this process before so I just went with it. She had me pay the total cost and tip at the first fitting.
During the second fitting, Darcy hadn't done any major alterations yet so the fitting was literally five minutes long. She had told me to bring a friend so she could show them how to bustle the dress so I brought one of my bridesmaids who also lives in Seattle (we were in the car for about two hours total), but Darcy hadn't yet added the bustle hooks so she couldn't show us and instead recommended we look on YouTube.
Instead of scheduling a final fitting for once the alterations were complete, Darcy said that I would not be able to try the dress on since it would be pressed and ready for the wedding day. I thought that was a little weird but figured as a professional she must know better than I do.
When I went to pick my dress up at the scheduled time (which I had emailed to confirm the day before) nobody was in the shop and the door was closed and locked, lights off, etc. I thought that was pretty strange. Darcy didn't answer the phone initially, but called me back a few minutes later. She sounded really congested and told me that she was coming but would need 15 minutes to get dressed since she was sick in bed. She had just gotten back from a trip the night before and thought she might have COVID. Luckily I had a mask in my car that I could wear to go into the store. I went in and she had me go into the back of the shop and grab my dress because she "didn't want to touch anything."
I took the dress home, and a week or two later the same bridesmaid friend (who at this point was quite skeptical of Fragile Fit) convinced me to try the dress on. Thank goodness I listened because I found that NONE OF THE MAJOR ALTERATIONS HAD BEEN DONE!!! Darcy hadn't taken the dress in at all in the hips and butt area (it needed at least 6" taken in, looked like I was wearing clown pants). I also found one of her alteration pins remaining in the dress.
At this time, we were two weeks out from my wedding date. I called Darcy and she made some excuses that made it clear she had absolutely no idea who I was or which dress was mine. She told me there was "no way" for her to know without me coming in or sending her a photo of the dress. Darcy does all of her appointments and record keeping with pencil and paper and has weak organizational systems.
When I mentioned that the pin was still in the dress, she said "there's no way I would have sent you home with a dress that still had a pin in it." She told me she would have found the pin in the final fitting. I reminded her that we didn't do a final fitting since 1) she didn't want the dress to get wrinkled, and 2) she was SUPER sick.
Anyway, long story short, I brought the dress back and she finished it before the wedding. The dress was still definitely too big. It looked nice and I don't think most people noticed but it was falling off all day/night and very uncomfortable in the shoulder strap area. It was also several inches too long and I was tripping over it the whole day.
All in all, I drove up to Fragile Fit (near Mukilteo) from my house in Seattle five separate times to get the dress altered. This is around 10 hours of driving. Darcy Venmo'd me $50 for gas/travel expenses, didn't offer any sort of re

I cannot speak highly enough about Darcy and her business. I had to buy a new wedding dress last minute (like two weeks before my wedding last minute). Darcy was not only able to fit me into her schedule, she got my dress altered and turned around so quickly. She also steamed my dress without me even asking her to ?. Darcy is so lovely to work with, such a nice human being, and just so so talented. 1000000/10! THANK YOU DARCY!!!!!

The pros- Darcy is responsive over email, cheaper than other seamstresses across the board, does good work and the dress looks good
The cons- a bit curt over email, pricing is inconsistent (quoted price may be different than what you get charged and doesn't seem to have much consistency), constantly feeling rushed when at appointments and i have always waited at least 15 mins for the girls before me. Doesn't matter if i come early or not. One time i came 5 mins late and she said she slotted someone in before me because she was back to back but that person took 20 mins. Then when it was my turn of course the next girl came (so clearly she was behind schedule as it was) so she starts rushing me because someone else was already waiting. At no point at any of my appointments was I ever the only person in the shop. Maybe my bad because I assumed appointments were 30 mins long, but it seems more like 15 mins, which is not enough to discuss what you want done or how you envisioned your gown to look. Or for brainstorming how to change the dress now that it has been altered to what you'd be happy with. I even asked for more time at one of my appointments to shop the accessories which is offered online and was not given the time. She just threw on one veil and asked if I liked it. None of my
Appointments ever lasted more than 15 mins. I definitely felt flustered and like she didn't care about my dress as much as the others and I just wanted to leave. Ultimately felt like when there was something for her to change she got annoyed and more visibly frustrated when she needed to explain something. She also didn't rush the white girls before me as much so it feels like unfair treatment. Also feeling like you can't express your frustration with not having enough time because she has the power to ruin your wedding dress.
All in all she is a cheap seamstress that can do the work and doesn't care about patience, service, unfair treatment, attitude, and rushing you to accept whatever she gives you. Personally, I regret not spending more money to not feel like cattle.

Darcy was amazing! Not only did she alter my wedding dress wonderfully, including hem, bustle, and adding custom tulle sleeves that I LOVED, she also altered my grandmother's debutante dress from the 1950's for me to wear to my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. She made it look so beautiful and it made me so happy to surprise my grandma with the special dress. She also used tulle from both dresses to make me handkerchiefs, a garter, and scrunchies. I highly recommend her. Thanks Darcy!

I highly recommend Darcy & Fragile Fit for all of your alteration needs! Darcy has altered 3 of my daughter’s wedding gowns & several of my dresses for special occasions. I know I can always rely on her for the perfect fit when it comes to all of our family’s alteration needs.

I am so thankful I found Darcy. When I got engaged, I was supposed to have a August wedding and then after years of trying to conceive, I got pregnant and had to move my wedding date up to May. And, yes of course I had already bought my dress. Darcy worked her magic and my dress fit perfectly. She was so much help and guided me in the best manner possible. She's so talented, has so many years of experience and just a joy to work with! If I could give her ten stars I would!

Darcy is amazing!!! I first found her almost 20 years ago when I was getting married for the first time. She made sure my dress fit just right, and the bustle was gorgeous. Then last year as I was preparing to get re-married, I was lucky enough to find her again! What a blessing! The body of a 40-something isn't the same as that of a 20-something, and Darcy made sure my dress accentuated all the right places. She suggested alterations that made it fit perfectly -- and I felt gorgeous! The process was so quick and easy, and she even steamed my dress and my daughter's outfit so that we both looked amazing that day. I trust Darcy completely -- and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to have their clothing fit perfectly. Thank you SO much, Darcy!!!

Darcy was amazing to work with and perfected my bridesmaid dress! I highly recommend her! She turned my too tight zipper in the back of my dress into a gorgeous cross-cross corset-like back. I needed the bottom of the dress hemmed as well and she used the extra material to create a beautiful ribbon to use to tie up the back of the dress. She's fun and lovely to work with. So grateful my grandma recommended her - she's been having alterations done by Darcy for many years!

Left my first appointment feeling very anxious and not taken care of. After having to pay the whole balance BEFORE the alterations were done, and being asked for tip at that time, I felt uneasy leaving my dress with them. I'm sure I could've left a tip at the when alterations were finished, but with tip culture getting out of control with POS systems suggesting a tip, it felt like a awkward place to be in. The alterations seemed perfectly executed until my bustle fell apart right after my ceremony. This took away 20 minutes of my wedding day, which made me feel really diappointed. I did follow up to report the issue, Darcy did offer a refund, but follow-through has been poor. At this point, I just want them to do better.

The dress turned out great, but there was some miscommunication regarding appointments and pickup date which was stressful.
