Darcy is amazing!!! I first found her almost 20 years ago when I was getting married for the first time. She made sure my dress fit just right, and the bustle was gorgeous. Then last year as I was preparing to get re-married, I was lucky enough to find her again! What a blessing! The body of a 40-something isn't the same as that of a 20-something, and Darcy made sure my dress accentuated all the right places. She suggested alterations that made it fit perfectly -- and I felt gorgeous! The process was so quick and easy, and she even steamed my dress and my daughter's outfit so that we both looked amazing that day. I trust Darcy completely -- and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to have their clothing fit perfectly. Thank you SO much, Darcy!!!

Darcy was amazing to work with and perfected my bridesmaid dress! I highly recommend her! She turned my too tight zipper in the back of my dress into a gorgeous cross-cross corset-like back. I needed the bottom of the dress hemmed as well and she used the extra material to create a beautiful ribbon to use to tie up the back of the dress. She's fun and lovely to work with. So grateful my grandma recommended her - she's been having alterations done by Darcy for many years!

Left my first appointment feeling very anxious and not taken care of. After having to pay the whole balance BEFORE the alterations were done, and being asked for tip at that time, I felt uneasy leaving my dress with them. I'm sure I could've left a tip at the when alterations were finished, but with tip culture getting out of control with POS systems suggesting a tip, it felt like a awkward place to be in. The alterations seemed perfectly executed until my bustle fell apart right after my ceremony. This took away 20 minutes of my wedding day, which made me feel really diappointed. I did follow up to report the issue, Darcy did offer a refund, but follow-through has been poor. At this point, I just want them to do better.

Darcy was just amazing! We came to her to see if she could take my old wedding gown from 1994 and alter it into a going away dress for my daughter. She truly caught the vision my daughter had. And it was all done over FaceTime with my daughter living in Oklahoma. When she came to town, we had a fitting and made a few adjustments. I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Darcy is a true artist but also really listens to her clients. I also used her for my MOB dress and a few years ago for my older daughter’s wedding - the bride’s wedding dress, the maid of honor dress and my MOB dress. I highly recommend her. Attached are some before and after shots of my wedding dress and the transformed going away dress. ?

Darcy was amazing to work with. She is straight forward, friendly and engaging and puts you at ease. She keeps to a schedule, responds in a timely manner and is an expert at her craft! I had her hem, add French bustle and bra inset to my gown and she did so with attention to detail and it looks perfect!

I can't say enough positive things about Darcy Martin. Aside from being an exceptional human, she is a fabulous and creative seamstress. She went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding dress absolutely gorgeous with extra pearls, made an adorable little jacket from excess fabric from her reception dress, and dramatically improved my rehearsal dinner dress! She has great suggestions, is patient, reasonable and fair, and just an overall pleasure to work with!

Darcy was absolutely wonderful! She was always extremely professional and made me feel like the star of the show. Her alternation work is incredible! I have no idea what she did but when I tried my dress on after alterations were complete, it was gorgeous! I bought a couture dress so I really was relying on a professional to do my alterations and she nailed it! I would definitely recommend her to ANY bride!

I can't thank Darcy and her crew at Fragile Fit Alterations enough for helping to make my daughter-in-law's wedding gown dream come true! We had purchased a sample dress from Brides For a Cause and Darcy added sleeves and lots of extra details that we had thought were impossible. She also altered my mother-of-the-groom gown just perfectly. Communication was excellent and we both felt like princesses. After the wedding, Darcy did some small repairs and had both the bride's gown and my son's wedding suit cleaned and pressed. She is so talented! It has been a true pleasure to work with her!

I got married recently and Darcy was such a big help. She was very kind and did everything she could to make me feel comfortable with my dress and how it fit. Her assistant was also very sweet, they both were very attentive, and everything went smoothly. Scheduling was super easy, my appointments were quick and professional, and the end result with my dress was exactly what I hoped it would be. I highly recommend Fragile Fit to any brides looking for alterations!

Darcy is very talented, she altered and cleaned my off the rack dress from Brides For A Cause- I bought a size 12 and was about a 6/8 at the time of the wedding. She was careful about retaining the integrity of the dress, which I appreciated. If I’d know the level of difficulty and end fit of the dress was as it was I would have definitely chosen a different dress to be honest, but that was something I didn’t know until we were already deep into alterations. She made it work, and I was so complimented all day on the stunning look of the dress- we even added some custom straps to really snatch my tiny waist line, and it was those details that made it look killer!

Customer service was not good. A stain got on the dress while at their shop. They said they would try to remove it. But a week later when I went to pick it up they told me they decided not to try to remove the stain. I asked if they would help pay to have it cleaned and they said no and they would nit do further alterations on the dress.

TLDR: BRIDES, RUN FAR AWAY. AS FAR AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. I've had this review drafted but put off posting it for 2 years, hoping time would give me perspective. I hate posting 1 star reviews. Unfortunately, I still remember this nightmare vividly. I purchased my dress at a sample sale in March of 2021 at I Do Bridal in Greenwood. Darcy was their on-site alteration person, providing estimates and services. I ended up going with her because the estimate was reasonable and I didn't have the time or energy to visit a bunch of alteration shops. Darcy took my dress back with her, and we scheduled a fitting for June. By my first fitting, Darcy already had my dress for over 2 full months, and the only thing she did cut open the back and pin down straps. She did some measurements and sent me off. My second fitting had me really nervous. I should have taken my dress and walked out the door, but I was a grad student with a wedding budget. She cancelled my last fitting and finally rescheduled it to 3 days before my original wedding date. The dress was still pretty loose and the bust felt a bit weird/low, but with my bridal party hundreds of miles away, I took Darcy's and her assistant's word that this was how the dress was supposed to fit. (brides-to-be: never go to fittings alone!) I tried to remain optimistic and took it home. When I had my photo, hair, and makeup trial the next day, my photographer and HMUA were appalled by the state of dress and strongly advised me to find someone else to fix it. They needed to pin it in the back for my trials, and it was over 2" too big around the bust and waist (see photo). I'm not sure why I bothered reaching out to Darcy with the photo and expressing my concern. She explained it was complicated dress. I agree it was a complex dress, but that doesn't mean I was fine with paying her to do a shoddy job. Darcy offered to fix it, but she had already had my dress for over 3 months at this point. What more could she possibly do and why wasn't it done before? That was a hard pass. I was ready to trash the dress and wear my engagement photo dress, but luckily I found someone in downtown Seattle who could salvage the dress in the short timeframe. It turns out it was in even worse shape than I thought. The dress was large and kept falling, the hems were unfinished, layers were short and uneven (requiring me to buy new wedding shoes with lower heels), and the buttons in the back were completely crooked. I'm glad my wedding was pushed a little (for unrelated reasons) and that I hadn't mentioned it to Darcy. I would've been a complete wreck if I had to deal with this 3 days before my wedding.

Darcy was hard to communicate with, left me without a response for over a month. She's rude. Luckily, she was only cleaning my dress. I got it back 3 months later, at times I wasn't sure if I'd ever get it back.
